We wanted to spend a few days at a resort in South Goa with good beach access. Praia da Oura was the perfect place. The owner, Alex of and his wife Maria welcomed us and ensured that we had all that we wanted. Diana and Basil served us a homely breakfast of fresh fruit juice, cut fruit from the trees grown on the property and eggs with hot goan pao. All residents seem to know each other and it felt like a family. The rooms are large, air conditioned and well appointed. Beds and pillows were comfortable and all windows looked out to the beach or to endless fields of paddy and coconut palms. Great value for money at Praia da Oura too.

We were recently caught up in the Indian lockdown while staying at the Praia Da Oura in Majorda. We cannot praise the owner Alex and his wonderful staff highly enough for their friendship and hospitality during a difficult time and were made to feel like part of the family. Although only on a B & B basis Alex and his staff supplied us with lovely evening meals during a time when all bars and restaurants were closed. We hope to return next year when hopefully everything is back to normal. This hotel is the best in Majorda with spacious, well furnished rooms and a great pool and is ideally situated, being about 10 minutes walk to Majorda Beach and the beach shacks and the same to Majorda village with it's shops and restaurants. All rooms have balconies with good views towards the beach and over the local fields and countryside and is great if you are a keen birdwatcher.

Praia da oura is strategically located between Majorda and Betalbatim Beach..beach is hardly 5 min walking from hotel. However, location is very secluded and no other construction is nearby 100m, which may give chills to some people. Definitely not recommended to stay in off-season, we were only 3 guests throughout the property, so it was lonely for us. Wifi also does not work properly. However, other facilities like front desk experience was good, food was good, though they only serve limited items and only breakfast. You will get a fruit bowl with seasonal fruits, veg will get idli sambar, nonveg will get omelette. You can request to make something on request, if traveling in groups or staying on a business trip. Pool is big and clean. They don't have any indoor games or books for entertainment, so it is advisable that you bring yours along. Parking is ample so you can bring your own vehicle (which you will obviously need here). Rooms are cozy but beautiful and has a big balcony as well. All the fittings inside the room are premium. Beware of stray dogs on the street when walking outside, especially at night.

Pros : 1) the location of the resort is beautiful , 500 m close to the Majorda beach (very clean beach). 2) The resort is very clean , spacious room and the best part is the swimming pool. 3) The staff is really cooperative and helpful . For instance we wanted sauté vegetables in the breakfast or a slight mis happeningwith our 2 wheeler which the owner took it upon himself and handled the situation nicely .
Cons : Major con that we felt was the bad and unhygienic breakfast .For instance 1) food was not covered . 2) There were ants and flies everywhere . 3) No variety of food . 4) packed frozen mckain chicken fried in the morning. 5) no labels on the food items whether it’s veg/non veg . 6) no fresh juices/ cold coffee / muffins / cookies. 7) sugar sache put there were expired. 8) we asked them for a tooth brush and paste and they charged for it which was really surprising .

My husband and I were there for 2 nights. Our stay was pleasant and most unremarkable. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was attentive. The pool is big and gorgeous. As other reviews have noted - the location can feel a little isolated as there's absolutely no development in the area but everything (beach, shacks, restaurants) is really just 5 min away. If you want a quiet, laid-back stay, this place is it. It's better if you have your own vehicle though. The taxis are a ripoff. The wifi is very weak and there is very poor cell network in the rooms which can be a problem. We went in the low season so the hotel felt a little empty and melancholic. Also breakfast was quite limited. The omelettes we had were done nicely but we were later offered pancakes after we finished eating and had we known what all was available we might have made different choices. It was the only disappointing part of our stay. One more suggestion - A drying rail in the rooms would also be useful to dry out swimwear.

Beautiful property. Peaceful, quiet and super relaxing.
Travelled with my wife and doggo.
Parking available - as we drove from Mumbai.
Pet friendly. My doggo had a super time here. Extra care was taken for food.
Loved the hospitality from the pereira family that owns the place. The parents and the kids are doing a super job at amazing customer service available 24x7.
The staff is super cute and very friendly. Very warm and helpful.
Rooms are 5 star. Large, clean bathrooms and perfect to relax after a tiring trip.
5mins walk to the beach. Shacks are close by. Whatever the owners suggested we tried and was bang on. From shacks to restaurants all a perfect 10.
Breakfast is complementary and the owners will ask you what you want to have and make it fresh. Good options from omlettes to sausages to boiled egg to sunny side up, paranthas etc.
This has to be one of my best stays in Goa from the infinite trips i have had.
The location is perfect and all good restaurants are 15-20 mins away from here.
The swimming pool is clean and beautiful.
Hotel crowd is mainly foreigners and good Indian families.
Every time i have been to goa I usually go to the north and believe be me the crowd and chaos is too much to handle. So this time tried south and was worth the change.
I will definitely come back here and make this my yearly travel home.

Located near the beachfront, just a short 3mins walk from Majorda beach....the property owners are very warm and welcoming. The cleanest rooms i have stayed at during my Goa stay so far...i have stayed at atleast 4 other properties in a single trip to Goa this time. If you're planning to visit with family, friends or solo...i will definitely recommend Praia Da Oura for your stay. The airport is less than 30mins drive, the sea side view room which I opted for are having a great lush green and sea view. The breakfast and the rose flavoured chai is absolutely a great start to the day! If you want to rejuvenate and explore southern Goa, do stay here!

Nice rooms, helpful and polite staff and a good location. The one major issue is that they only serve one meal, that is breakfast, and it is cold, tasteless and completely unedible. We were told that it was cold because we were late everyday. Coming for breakfast at 10 when it is supposed to be served from 9 to 10.30 is not late.

During our stay in India, we have spent a weekend in Praia Da Oura. I recommend a place, great hospitality and service. Beach was beautiful, great for tourist from US and EU :) Hotel offers a huge pool, rooms were nice and clean.
