We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel was almost empty. First it took ages to get to the place, the gps address had been changed and the hotel had not informed the guests. Then we found a door closed. We had to phone and were asked to go to the entrance of hotel Baglio di Zingaro. Why... More

When the much touted hotel across the street lost our reservation, we were unsure of what to do since we had never experienced that before. But the Hotel Baglio gladly took us in and gave us a beautiful room with a balcony and a sea view for a very reasonable price. They even have a free parking lot for your... More

Very simple hotel but comfortable and great service, from reception to breakfast staff, nicely located near the small but very picturesque town centre with a number of nice restaurants, pizzeria, gellateria, etc.

No trace of the traditional farmhouse or collection of agricultural buildings (original use we gather). Our room was smallish and had no balcony - side of building overlooking a yard which had a collection of junk & an old tractor in it. Disappointing. Refurbishment whenever it took place had obliterated any charm or personality of the building. The pool, however,... More

I echo what my husband says below. We stayed here 6 nights and it was good choice for Zingaro etc. Scopello itself is small with a surprisingly good selection of restaurants. We are now in Castellamare and it is much bigger so we are happy with our 2 centre choices. 11 nights in Scopello would have been too many. The... More

My husband and I stayed in a triple room for 6 nights, choosing Scopello so we could visit Segesta, Zingaro National Park and the Tonnara di Scopello. The room was spotless and large, reasonably well furnished although the wardrobe was quite small and only 2 drawers; not really quite enough room to unpack fully. Air-con was very effective - actually... More

Major pluses: Breakfasts on the terrace; The balcony on our room with lovely views across the village; Helpful & friendly staff; Several bar/restaurant options within a very short walk of the hotel. Lovely pool. Plenty of on-site car parking. Good base from which to explore the north-west of Sicily and an easy 1hr drive west from Palermo Airport (in the... More

The hotel, although modern is based on the old baglio farmyard complexes of Sicily, and has a lot of character (tiles and local ceramics). It is in fact two hotel complexes back to back with a swimming pool between them. There is a controlled parking area opposite. Rooms are clean, well-appointed, reception is always helpful, breakfast includes a good range... More

Stayed one night on a business trip in a single room. This hotel is not bad in any way just kind of boring. Its clean and the staff is very friendly. Easy parking in front of reception. Previous guests in my room had left some trash behind the door which was missed by the cleaning staff. Its fully understandable mistake... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel complex boasts an enviable location near the ancient village of Scopello, dating the seventeenth century, and enjoys a splendid view that encloses the entire costal strip which stretches along the Gulf of Castellammare, from the Zingaro nature reserve up to Punta Raisi. The hotel uses models and materials that faithfully repeat the traditional local buildings. Attention to the details can be noticed in the use of handcrafted marble, in wrought iron, in the sober and refined interiors made by skilled craftsmen who still hand down tecniques of construction and workmanship of ancient experience. The hotel enough has got a large amphitheatre situated in a suggestive panorama and a wonderful pool. ... more   less
