My husband and I were very disappointed about this "resort." The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the room and grounds. Our first morning there, we went to make coffee and discovered the pot had old coffee with a solid layer of mold. When we asked to get a clean pot, they sent a housekeeper with a spray bottle--absurd. Also...

The view is fabulous, the grounds are very well kept, and very clean. The hot tub and pool are both very nice. The room was nice and clean. The restaurant was closed for remodeling, which was a bummer, so we had to drive to Marathon for dinner. Also, no bar. So we walked across the street to the convenience store...

After staying in Islamorada for two nights, I stayed here for a night. 1. The check-in process was easy but with the list of rules that were stated out, I felt like I was a worker at the hotel, not the guest. Not the best way to feel when you're on vacation. 2. The room was decent sized, but overpriced....

Considering other places we've stayed in the keys, the Lime Tree Bay Resort was a much better bang for the buck. This is probably since the resort is located on Long Key at MM 68.5 - so you have to travel to Marathon or Islamorada for restaurants, etc. Our room was in the Hemingway Building on the 2nd floor and...

The location of this hotel is great if you want to spend the day at the Long Key State Park... but it is a little pricy for what you get. The rooms are small, but nicely appointed and very clean. The beds are comfy, and you can't beat the view! The property has hammocks and lots of sun loungers. They...

Ok, so here goes. This was the first time I've ever come to the Keys, so I spent many months researching and reading reviews about hotels. I was planning to spend a week Scuba Diving, and not really much else. Therefore I read a lot about Lime Tree Resort and many, many reviews. I noticed that many third party websites...

Overall, the hotel was ok. Nothing special, but not terrible. We checked in and the woman at the counter went over a lot of information about the place - you have to park in your assigned spot and make sure the parking pass is visible in the window, etc. After we parked, we went to our room. The property is...

Found this motel thru a Lonely Planet book called 'Florida and the South's Best Trips' and like others, decided to see the Keys by stopping in the middle before proceeding down to Key West. I reserved a room months in advance, explaining that this was a special 30th wedding anniversary trip for my husband and I and I wanted to...

When we first checked in, the woman at the desk was very unfriendly, and unwelcoming. She proceeded to "lecture me about being sure to park ONLY in my assigned spot and be sure that my parking tag was visable or my car would be towed. I had to go outside and write down the license plate number for her (it...

Curious about the Keys we decided to stay somewhere in the middle. The place is very relaxing with a nice pool area and a small beach. Just a short drive to Marathon and about an hour to Key West. Nice and big rooms and good breakfast. The downside is that you don't find any restaurants nearby, you will need to...
