The principal character Mowgli, from the timeless classic Jungle Book, represented the perpetual conflict between man and the wild. The story also emphasizes on the frantic need to preserve nature’s wilderness, steps towards which have been taken for many years now by environmentalists and conservationists. One such wildlife conservation initiative is what you get to witness in Pench Tiger Reserve, a part of the larger Pench National Park, Madhya Pradesh, which aims to sustain the dwindling numbers of the Bengal tiger. Get a glimpse of the wilderness at this hideout in the wild, where you get to experience the best of nature and wildlife, along with modern comforts. Follow the pugmarks of the revered tiger to a village in the periphery of the forest reserve, nestled in serene, lush green surroundings. Run by professionals from the service industry, the camp believes in and promotes sustainable wildlife tourism, creating awareness amongst visitors about the wilderness and welfare of local communities. They strive to maintain the socio-economic balance by using only locally procured goods and creating opportunities of livelihood for the villagers. Conserving the local environment and preventing it from degradation due to tourism is something they are committed to. Even though set in such a rustic backdrop, the stay delivers impeccable services to make it a thoroughly enjoyable vacation for you. Offering the perfect blend of comfort and natural elements, you have the standard room and the deluxe room. Whether you choose to retire, relax or refresh, the rooms are cozy and comfortable. But hey, you didn't come all they way to a national park to put your feet up and relax, did you? Get out there and explore the wild! You have the jungle safari in Pench, one to capture the sunrise and another in the evening. Following the wilderness trails are the jungle trek and the night trek to give you that tingle of excitement. With leisure at hand, you can opt for boat rides, visit the nearby dam, go fishing or even picnic by a picturesque lake. The countryside scenery would nudge you to take a peek into the rural life during a village tour. And if you prefer something more sedentary, get your hands messy as you give shape to some wet clay at the potter’s wheel. All the walking and sightseeing is bound to kick in the hunger pangs. And to satiate your appetite, you have variety galore in fresh homely food featuring tribal cuisine, to be savoured in an open-air setting. Take the indulgence a notch higher a massage to soothe your tired muscles and aching feet. As the day draws to an end, watch the stars rise one after the other; set a bonfire crackling alongside a barbeque grill. The burning embers would somewhere reflect the glowing eyes of a seething Sher Khan having sought protection in a man’s sanctuary!

Without a doubt, this place is now listed in on of my most fav hotels/resorts. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner Sourabh, the staff and not to forget D, their Labrador! Throughout our stay, we were made to feel totally cared for and looked after by Sourabh and his wonderful staff who are humble, caring and hard working, always with a smile on their faces. The resort has a mix of rustic and modern feel. The rooms are cute and cozy. Special mention to the delicious home cooked food (which we just couldn't stop eating), which is all organic, home grown on their farm. All in all one of the most pleasant stays I have had. Choosing this place was the best decision that we made. Exceptional, Outstanding and Magnificent!

The entire property is very well designed and maintained. Lot of trees are planted all over the property. Excellent food and the service is too good. The owners take care personally of every guest staying with them. They have great knowledge about the wildlife and guide us very well. Staff is very polite and takes care of the stay and food very well. Breakfast is packed ready before we get out for early morning safari. Overall highly satisfied. Highly recommended place to stay with family and friends while we enjoy the nature.

This place just took me to a different dimension purely for the proper balance of rustic and modern touches and the amount of thought and effort that has gone into putting together this wonderful place. The man running the show, Mr. Shourabh, just adds so much value to your stay with his humble gestures and his caring ways. Kohka Wilderness Camp also captured my heart for the charity work that it channels towards the betterment of the locals in an innovative and productive manner. Being a Wildlife Photographer (as of now by passion only), seeing the plathora of photographs displayed at Kohka Wilderness Camp photographed by the renowned Wildlife Photographer Mr. Shivang Mehta added an educational value to my stay there. Do visit Kohka Wilderness Camp if you're traveling to Pench and you'll know what I meant by the above review. Highly recommended.

We visited kohka Wilderness camp recently and it was my wife's 40th birthday and Sanjay and his team went out of the way to make the day special... We even had some of our friends over to have dinner with us and they had a great time. Sanjay is a great host he is not a hotelier in the slightest sense. The place is very rustic and the staff is very warm and courteous. Definitely would recommend this property. Also last but not the least the food is very good.

Kohka Wilderness Camp is a great place to stay. The rooms are cosy. The staff is friendly and helpful. As are the owners/ hosts. The safari beat has predictable time slots, so the time spent at the Camp during the day between trips better be worth it. Rooms here have decent sized sit out areas. This place is designed such that each set of rooms is surrounded by enough foliage to offer you enough privacy to relax, chill, chat for hours on end. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
