if you want more privacy and more of a homestay kinda thing, you should definitely try this property. I can clearly give 10/10 for the food and for the staff. I was there for 2 days and one day for the dinner i had chicken breast with mashed potatoes, and that was my favorite in the whole cultural triangle trip....

Friendly staff, good food, amazing views and walks. The only drawback is that it's literally in the middle of nowhere. It's probably a bit expensive relative to the rest of Sri Lanka but the service and quality of accommodation matches up. It's well worth walking up the mountains with their naturalist if you have time.

A fantastic bungalow that is ideal for a group of friends/family. The rooms are comfortable and well thought out and the food delicious. An ideal spot to either just chill out on the balcony with a cold beer and look at the stunning views but equally as appealing for the active guest with a wide range of hikes and other...

We stayed for 6 nights at the Ashburnham Estate in September 2016 and it was fantastic! After the heat and craziness of Kandy and Colombo, this was a peaceful mountain top spot, with beautiful views, clean elegant rooms and a pool to watch the sun go down over the neighbouring valley... The estate is about 45 minute car drive (or...

This is a hidden gem. Built in the 1930's in a Colonial theme, it sits on the top of a hill overlooking the Tea Plantation. Surrounded by a fabulous garden and lots of wildlife it exudes old world charm and top, friendly service. The food was wonderful, the managers Oli and Laura were really helpful and friendly and the staff...

We had such a great 5 nights at Ashburnham. There's plenty to do but it's also great for some chill time too. It's about an hour north of Kandy in the hills overlooking beautiful valleys of tea plants and jungle. You feel like you're staying in someone's home at Ashburnham. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful, from...
