As its name suggests, the Gamboa Rainforest Resort is situated in a rainforest area surrounded by nice grounds and hosting a range of interesting flora and fauna. Its location also provides challenges in maintenance but despite some minor problems it is a comfortable and friendly place to stay. There are many opportunities to see and find out about sloths and...

We stayed three nights with our 21 year old daughter. Loved the view and hammock on the porch. Breakfast had a good variety with hot dishes and made to order eggs and waffles. Took the night tour and nature walk that came with the room and saw a few animals. Booked a kayak tour on the canal for three hours...

We stayed at this Gamboa resort on March 5th and 6th as part of a 7nt tour of Panama with Apple Vacations/Gamboa Tours. This has the makings of a wonderful resort, but seems to be struggling with maintenance and food service. The extended water feature in the impressive atrium appeared to have been inoperable for some time. The stagnant water...

We were part of a tour. The hotel and the setting are beautiful. We had a room overlooking the swimming pool and the river; room was large, very comfortable and had a large balcony with a hammock and a couple of chairs. The buffet was very good with great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and many delicious dishes. Service was...

Luxurious but with respect for nature. It gave us a Jurassic World feeling (go see the movie)! Great tours, tourguides are passionate, beautiful pool, garden, facilities are great. You absolutely get what you pay for.

We were here with a tour group for 2 nights. As we were on a tour we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but did notice that the rooms needed better cleaning and minor repairs. The rug was absolutely filthy and needed replacing long ago. By the time we arrived, we were unable to sign up for...

Our first warning sign of the declining condition of this resort occurred 5 minutes after checking in. My wife attempted to use the lobby rest room and discovered there was no water available. When she mentioned it to the front desk, she received a dismissive response, like water service outages happen all the time and it’s no big deal. Think...

There are so many wonderful things about this hotel so I will list them first: The staff are wonderfully friendly and willing to try their English out on you. The food is quite good but for me I would prefer a bit more variety, chicken, pork and fish almost every night, done with different sauces but still much the same....

After 13 years I have returned to the Hotel for a booked boat tour on the Gatun Lake through the tour operator of the hotel. Although the hotel is still impressive in size and keeps a certain charm because of its style and construction, it has definitely seen better days. Some areas seem deserted and almost abandoned, the view through...

Hi Susanne, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are working around and inside the hotel property to improve its condition due to severe weather changes last rainy season and humidity in the Rainforest, and trying not to disrupt our guests stay with current maintenance work. We are reviewing the Flash Lunch Menu to improve it and looking...

I had heard great things about this hotel but was disappointed. The hotel has been allowed to deteriorate over the last few years, the halls were dirty and dark (almost spooky). The lobby is dusty. The concrete around the pool is cracked and towels are not always available. The services are OK, we ate in the restaurant and it was...

Hello Susie, we appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve the guest experience. At the moment, we are currently under intense maintenance work, taking advantage of the dry season to work as much as it let us before the rainy season arrives and humidity increases. We are taking notes of your comments about...
