Views on website are deceptive. Rooms are extremely basic and small. Beds are too small for the normal size adult. There is a musty smell in the rooms and in the dining room, where the air conditioning is broken. Outside area is run down and untidy. Chairs under the gazebo are dirty and mildew covered. The evening meal was terrible...

We enjoyed our one night stay at Ivan's. We stayed there mainly for the birding nearby. His house is a historic building and interesting in its own right. The dining room is like a little museum with all sorts of interesting objects to look at. The dinner and breakfasts were good and to be honest there is not much choice...

I stayed at Ivan's on two occasions, during my recent trip to Panama. For those interested in birding the area, you can't really ask for a nicer arrangement or a more gracious and knowledgeable host. Ivan, a birder himself, has a long family history in the country. His dad, currently living on the first floor, is a wealth of historical...

Ivan's B and B is a comfortable and welcoming place for those who wish to be close to the birding hotspot of Pipeline Road which is just a few minutes away. Ivan is a very friendly and helpful fellow who makes his guests feel like old friends. A delicious breakfast is included in the rate. (Or a bag breakfast for...

We enjoyed two days at Ivan's B & B surrounded by beautiful greenery and serenaded by birdsong. I describe below what we liked and what we wished could have been different: Positive aspects: We found Ivan to be a great host. He was very friendly, funny, and helpful. He was a good historian and story teller. He was there when...

You can't replace multi-dimensional values with a single value - or five stars. I think most of the kudos and criticisms I see in the other reviews have real merit and are difficult to reconcile with a high rating, but I'll try. Gamboa is relic of the canal building period. Its primary claim to fame now is that it is...

Stayed 3 days with Ivan and would come back in a heart beat. Ivans knowledge of the surrounding area is outstanding. His place is spotless and the food is incredible. If you are into nature and peace and quiet this B@B is a perfect place. Oh and if you are fortunate to stay at this little slice of heaven ask...

My husband and I stayed for two nights in June, 2014. Ivan was very helpful and informative. His place is within walking distance to the resort. Rooms are very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good (we ate our other meals at the resort). The shower is great. We are hoping to return again some day!!!

Unfortunately I could only stay one night at this lovely bed and breakfast. It is on a very quiet street. In the morning I woke up to the sounds of many birds! The accommodations were very comfortable and Ivan, the host, was a wonderful resource about the area and activities. The breakfast was delicious. It is a beautiful old house...
