The lava tubes are very interesting. A walk around the Kalkani Crater is a must and probably better done first to get a better idea of what is where. Value - probably a little over priced for the time. And seeing a few more tubes would be great. We only saw a section of about 800m, with a quarter of...

Undara experience is exactly that a true experience. Easy to find and drive to on sealed roads. The is fantastic, great restaurant and the whole facility is great. All levels of accommodation. We stayed on a powered caravan site which was drive thru with plenty of room and very good amenities. The lava tube experience itself was wonderful and will...

After a half day on the Savannahlander Train, we leave Mt Surprise railway station by bus to the Undara Experience to stay overnight and a tour of the lava tubes, the longest in the world. Undara Experience, if staying in the heritage red railway coaches (Brisbane to Townsville Mail Train), is absolutely amazing. Beautiful restored with queen bed accommodation, en...

A must stop along the Savannah Way. The staff are super efficient, friendly and our camper trailer site just perfect. Amenities clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the tubes which are so unique. Our Savannah Guide was first Class. Only suggestion is that after returning to the resort for a cuppa, it was disappointing not to be able to...

It's a pretty awe inspiring thing to walk through these gigantic tunnels created by lava flows. Tour was well run, and the camp site was clean and tidy. Couldn't ask for more really. Worth a stop for sure.

A must do trip, stay overnight in bush camp/caravan sites or renovated train carriages for a touch of luxury. Open air bar and restaurant, very rustic settings, very clean amenities, great pool like an oasis in the bush. Pulled our van in for one overnight stay then attended the Arch way Undara Volcanic Lava caves tours with guide into National...

What a fantastic place, middle of nowhere, so quiet and peaceful. The villas were sensational, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Went on the sunset tour into the caves and watched the bats fly out past the snakes, such a great experience, would highly recommend it to other Australian tourists as well as international guests. The staff of the park...

We visited Undara and stayed one night in one of the comfortable air conditioned cabins. All staff were welcoming. The sunset tour and the Archway tours were both great and were very interesting and enjoyable. The food choice and quality was very good. Much better than what we were expecting. Being so close to nature in the natural bush surroundings...

We stayed in the Pioneer Huts for two nights and enjoyed the privacy and the great view from the deck. The bushwalks are great and the lava tubes tour is unique and very informative. Staff is very helpful and friendly and their Bush Breakfast a must. However, the dinner menue is not very exciting and the meals are presented in...
