KALLONI BAY HOTEL is situated directly alongside the sandy beach that borders the Bay of Kalloni and is within a few minutes walk of the picturesque fishing village of Skala Kallonis. KALLONI BAY HOTEL was one of the first hotels in the region and it is still considered by many regular guests to be one of the most attractive hotels in the area due to its prime location. KALLONI BAY HOTEL was built in Aegean style and is surrounded by a beautiful mixture of horticultural and natural landscape. KALLONI BAY HOTEL comprises of 53 en-suite rooms with simple, tasteful decor. Half of the rooms have a sea view, the other rooms look inland toward wooded hills and offer an attractive view of the island landscape, especially during sunset. Walk to the fabulous sandy beach which is only a stone’s throw away, or relax around the large swimming pool. From the pool’s slightly elevated position you can admire the glorious play of the sea’s colours and listen to the Aegean wind.

Have stayed here a few times before and still no updates. Breakfast fine but simple. Rooms could be painted and cleaned better. Some of the towels must be the originals from when the hotel was built. Outside chair in balcony and round pool uncomfortable.

First, kind thanks to Chris and Elleni, the afternoon shift front desk staff people. They were super helpful to me in arranging my program. I came at the end of the bird migration with a focus on bird watching. I hope the new owner will take the comments into consideration for the 2023 spring/summer season. This hotel is typical of the 1990s 'Greek family hotel' for summer holiday at the sea experience. It needs upgrading. When a rate is quoted to a guest, honor it. My 40 euro/night went up to 50 then 55 euro. Granted, the rate is low but changing rates not good practice. Provide hot water in the rooms and showers for afternoon and evening hot (not lukewarm) showers. Upgrade the showers and get rid of the cheap plastic shower curtains. Upgrade the room fridges to quiet modern small fridges. Provide proper mattress toppers on the rock hard single beds pushed together for a bigger bed. I was given two small foam things that were probably lounge chair cushions. The rock hard mattress is not good for older people. Provide pillows that are not rock hard or totally worn out. Provide coffee and biscuits for the birders in the spring and fall migration (turn on the coffee machine and put out some biscuits around 6:30 am). Provide the 'bird location update board' in the fall as well as spring. Upgrade the plumbing and drainage in the bathrooms. Ask the dog owners next door to put the yapping dog into a kennel for the night (impossible I know, but worth consideration as the dog barks all night). Consider having the kitchen provide fresh cooked eggs 'on demand' not just fried eggs cooked and sitting for hours or cold hard boiled eggs. Also have some 'gluten free' options for baked goods. This may mean buying them, freezing them and offering them to a guest upon request. Have the artisan bakery bread cut in the kitchen. Guests did not understand how to hold the napkin on the bread to cut it so everyone's dirty hands were on the bread.

Visited in June this year. Very professional friendly helpful staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Nice breakfast. Very peaceful with beach across the road and the village 10 minutes stroll away. We will return. Thank you.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel, the last time being 9 years ago and yet again we weren't disappointed This hotel is just absolutely perfect. The rooms are typically Greek, so all the basics are there - fridge, Aircon, safety deposit box and TV, we had 2 wardrobes and plenty of drawers for storage. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, the room was serviced every day with a good system for towels, when you want clean ones, leave your dirty ones on the floor, otherwise hang them on the rail if you are happy to use them again always plenty of hot water available. The breakfast has lots of choice and lovely fresh Greek bread help yourself to hot drinks. The location is perfect, a short walk into the village, it overlooks the beach and has beautiful gardens, plenty of room for parking if you have hired a car I only have one observation to make, and that is the price of beer in the bar, they were charging 5 euros for a bottle of beer or for a pint of draught lager, whereas in the village the prices were around the 3.50 euros mark, quite a difference and it is possibly why the bar always seemed very quiet in the evenings when we arrived back. In my eyes, the hotel is still worthy of a 5 star review, we will definitely be going back Last but definitely not least, the staff are brilliant, everyone is so friendly and helpful, some remembered us from our previous stay 9 years ago!

It was our first time in Lesvos and we couldn't have chosen better, both the resort of Skala Kallonis and the hotel. Rooms were basic but clean, the led lights behind the headboard gave a nice modern touch to the room. We requested a large balcony and were given a huge terrace shared by 3 rooms but each having a private area too. We had views of both garden and sea so the best of both worlds. The breakfast area was lovely and the breakfast though typically Greek was very good and plentiful. We loved the pool area, the pool is huge and very clean. There was only one day we were unable to get a sunbed so literally crossed the road to the beach and spent a few hours on their free sunbeds with the most amazing breeze to keep us cool. We had a couple of snacks from the poolside bar which we thought were very good and reasonably priced. There was no inside bar open and the pool bar shut at 11pm, which was fine by us, perfect for a quick drink on returning from our evening meal before retiring to our balcony. It was never busy but Peter the barman kept us entertained. Skala Kallonis was very pretty and there were enough tavernas/restaurants to give choice of where to eat. There was also a couple of small mini markets, a pharmacy and an ATM. We would definitely return at some point.

I really like Kalloni Bay Hotel, even though it is old fashioned and the service is a bit slow, it has a great pool and poolside bar, its located right next to the beach and its set in beautiful gardens. Its a perfect way to spend your days on holiday in Lesbos. Its a short walk to Skala Kaloni, which has a cluster of traditional Greek restaurants around a pretty harbour. Its a quiet location, perfect for bird watching (apparently!) and reading your book by the pool in the sunshine, so perfect holiday hotel!

Lovely area, great location for tavernas and fairly located for island travel. Good staff in particular Dimttii from the pool bar, cheap good food and great sevice The rooms however are from out of the 70's !! Bathrooms are unaccacceptabe shower has mouldy tiling, dirty fittings and a sliding door, which less than acceptable. The beds are like sleeping on rock!!!! If you have any arthritic, disc problems or general symptoms you cannot sleep here without physiotherapy

We have had a wonderful holiday at Kalloni Bay. The hotel is in a perfect location and has everything you could want near by. It’s surrounded by stunning scenery and is one of the most peaceful and tranquil places we have visited. Within a 5 minute walk you’re in the town centre and there are an array of bars and restaurants to choose from. I would definitely recommend Caprice, the food was fabulous. Pool area at the hotel is well kept and the pool bar is reasonable prices and nice food. The only things that I feel are a negative for this hotel are the beds - as they are rock solid and very uncomfortable, And the bathrooms - traditional is fine, we don’t care how old fashioned is but the cleanliness is key, and this was very poor. The soap scum and mildew on the taps, toilet and shower/tiles is terrible. We have stayed in many different types of accommodation including hostels which were far better standards! The bathrooms need a serious deep clean and much better standards going forward. This was the main thing that let the hotel down for us as a clean bathroom is always a must. Besides that though we have enjoyed our holiday and most of the hotel. The staff were all wonderful too and very helpful. If you’re looking for a low cost holiday and not too fussy on where you stay then you won’t go wrong with Kalloni Bay.

Just returned from a week at the Kalloni Bay hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly receptionist with a cool glass of fresh orange juice which was very welcomed! Our room was on the ground floor and on first view seemed quite basic and overlooking the garden at the rear of the hotel. Rooms were clean with plenty of hanging space, not so much drawer space but we managed just fine for the two of us. Bathroom was a little in need of a refurb with a quite small shower and curtain. Air con was a godsend and completely free unlike some hotels we have stayed in. Safe cost 12 euros for the week so not very expensive for peace of mind for your valuables. Room equipped with a lovely sized fridge and hairdryer. Beds and pillows were a little on the firm side for us but we managed to sleep ok. Breakfast was quite plentiful, hot selection every day, little sausages, beans and either scrambled or fried eggs plus yogurt fruit and cold meats, bread and cakes. Coffee was very nice! Ate at the pool bar one lunch time and found it quite reasonable with the club sandwich served with fries being absolutely delicious!! All of the staff are very friendly, always ready with a smile and a 'Calimera'! Didn't sit around the pool but used the free sunbeds provided on the beach. Reception staff very helpful and helped us to book taxis for our day out. We thought the resort was a little on the quiet side at first but over the week it really grew on us and we were very sad to leave both the resort and the hotel. We would definitely go back, hopefully soon. Thank you Kalloni Bay and staff for making our holiday so special.
