George and Effy were wonderful hosts who provided a superb location for a wonderfully relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday which I would highly recommend to others. The breakfast on offer was of a very high standard, there was a very wide choice and it was well replenished up to the time that it closed, we especially enjoyed the homemade products...

We have just came back from our holiday in Malemi. Everything were perfect: homemade greek food- delicious, room- big and comfortable, room servis- exellent, staff of the hotel- friendly and helpful, surrounding the hotel- green with lots of animals (birds, hens, cow, goats and fallow deer). We will definitely come back!

We've just come back from our 10-day stay in Malemi hotel and we loved every minute of it! The relaxed, family atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay truly memorable. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and we were woken up every morning by birdsong - priceless! Lots of palm and fruit trees on the hotel grounds, very...

Our flight was delayed (thanks TCX!) and we had to drop a friend in Gera before we could travel on to the hotel, eventually arriving around 11.25pm. When we drove into the car parking area George was waiting for us and managed to organise an out of hours meal and drinks, we were all hungry and tired and this was...

We were at Malemi hotel at the end of june 2014. First of all, it's a very quiet place, silence, just birds and sheeps :) The stuff and the owner Georg are very nice and friendly. The breakfast the same every day, but it's very tasty (NOT CONTINENTAL) - local cheese and jogurt, olives, eggs, bacon, perfect fresh bread, vegetables...

Staying at Malemi – at least during the off season – feels more like staying at your slightly mad Greek uncle's (that's George, by the way) holiday compound than a hotel. The chattering parrakeet, impromptu nappy changing in the lobby, the bewildering (and bewildered) deer, and the chance of village kids stopping for a swim at the pool are things...

. In the month of May we were looking for the bird migration on Lesbos. The welcoming in hotel Malemi was so warm that we were totally overwhelmed by the hospitality of George, his wife Effy and their staff. We have seldom seen such a high standard of professionality mixed with the feel-at-home care. The meals are all made from...

This was our first stay here, but it will not be the last. We felt at home immediately. We returned to Malemi for 2 weeks in May and had a great welcome from George. He and his staff maintain a high standard caring for their guests.
