I have never been in a hotel so close to the beach. It's basically on the beach :) The swimming pool with a view on the sea. Also many restaurants around with amazing food and service, shops too. The staff of the hotel, Tasos and Maria, were always helpful. Good wi-fi. Definitely recommend.

Wow! What can I say. We have just spent a week in this gorgeous property and I don't have one bad word to say about it. The customer service is outstanding, Maria is one in a million and will do her best to help you with any queries. From room changes to booking you a taxi, she really is an asset to the resort. Thank you for everything Maria, from the bottom of our hearts. The location is superb and you will not get a better spot in Agios Gordios. Its on the beach and next door to 2 great restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern and kept spotlessly clean by the team of cleaners. The design is superb, a lovely patio outside with a kitchen that leads into the plunge and infinity pool. You can literally sit or lay there all day and people watch. But still feel very private. The pools are great to cool down in and are cleaned daily. Ask for a middle room as the pools are much bigger. The view of the beach and the sunset is outstanding. There is a rose garden that separates your pool to the beach and the smell of these with the breeze coming off the beach is beautiful, so relaxing. Oh and you can't beat falling asleep to the sound of the waves. All the bars and restaurants are footsteps away, you will not be disappointed in this complex. We can't wait to go back. Thank you again Maria for making our stay so wonderful.

We were here for a week- booked months ago on booking.com. We would have booked on their own website but the flexibility on booking.com gave us more peace of mind at the time. Using booking.com meant that we were in a ‘smaller room’- standard practice I would imagine. We were there for one night only and then moved to the larger room at the end. Whilst this room was a little more in need of some TLC ( regrouting and paint touch up etc. after the storm last year) (being a bit picky here), we were glad we moved. Maria, our host, was lovely and very welcoming. TV did not work the first night- replaced the next morning. Room could be cleaned daily if you wanted it to be so. View was great, comfortable bed, cooling plunge pool and handy kitchenette area. Just a few things to look out for when booking this hotel; 1. Look at their website for the best room when booking. 2.No SMART TV - something we feel is a must nowadays in such a great and modern venue. 3. The very first room at the top if the first flight of steps, can be very noisy- right next to a restaurant and everyone coming home at night. 4. Too bright in the room near the entrance- not sure if it was the wifi box but was a little annoying. 5. A safe in the room would be beneficial . Would we stay here again- absolutely! We have stayed at some amazing places over the years but this hit the spot- would highly recommend.

We stayed here 13th May for one week. We have been to AG many times but haven't been lucky enough to stay at the Beach Resort, so glad we did this time, what a treat! I booked 6 months ago online and requested a room with private pool. When we arrived very early (fist flight) we were dropped off by the taxi directly outside the reception doors. We were met by Maria who is so nice and very professional. She told us we could have our preference of room, if we stayed that first night in a duplex room at the top and then move the next morning when it became available. For us this was no big deal, in fact the opposite, we get to check out both rooms. We did wait three hours for our room to be ready as we arrived so early but Maria kept our bags safe while we went off. When we arrived back she took us up to the room, which was really lovely, you definitely get the wow factor, it's modern, bright, immaculately clean with everything you could need. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, the ground floor has a double bed against one wall, a large sofa, dressing table and tv, from here you can go out to a kitchen area, with sink, fridge (with small freezer at the top) electric plug in hob, sandwich maker, kettle, coffee machine, and all utensils pots etc you will need for cooking something light. The outside area has a table and an L shaped bench sofa, behind is a small private plunge pool, we did use it and it was cold but fine once you were in. The stairs take you to a lovely vaulted bedroom with ensuite. Personally I would be worried about the stairs with small children, they are marble tiled with a turn at the top, but maybe you could have baby gate? Early the next morning we got to move to our new room, the one we booked. To be honest, I much preferred this room, because of the outside space. The room was much the same as the previous upstairs room still large. Again a lovely bathroom with walk in shower and small hairdryer. From the bathroom was a nice size wardrobe with additional cupboards, shelving and large mirror with light over, which was really handy so you can do your hair/makeup while someone is in the bathroom. The outdoor space, has the kitchen area as previous room with smaller L shaped sofa and table. However, you have a better amount of pool space with two sun loungers sitting in a couple of inches of water that flows into the pool. They also provided a huge parasol if required and pool towels, mats and a wall mounted airer with pegs. The pool is bigger than the upstairs room and deep at a guess around 1.7m at the far end and wide enough for a small child to swim. For us it was just luxury, resting on the end wall overlooking the beach with the sun on you, the smell of the rose garden below and the envious looks of passers by. On the note of passers by, you are elevated and there is a rose garden in front so you are not overlooked, obviously if you are standing up by the pool you can be seen and if you rest on the end wall overlooking the sea, apart from that laying on sun-beds and in the pool is totally private, not even your neighbours can see you as the owners have cleverly designed the pools with dividing plant troughs that give you privacy. The pool was definitely usable so I dont understand other people mentioning the pools are a novelty or too cold. We did have lovely weather, it wasn't boiling but by the afternoon when the sun was on the pool area and the pool was a blessing, yes it was cold to get in as you are hot but once in... bliss and we both really enjoyed it. I would thoroughly recommend these apartments to anyone, especially as a romantic getaway. Plenty of restaurants, all along the beach front and up the main road. Three or fours small supermarkets and one close to the apartments. The management provided a plug in mosquito repellent which was thoughtful and they have the mosquito mesh door but I recommend you buy a cheap spray the minute you arrive as I got bitten three times just lying in bed the first morning, maybe because we kept the bathroom window open? If you have long or thick hair enquire about a better hairdryer as the standard wall mounted one in the bathroom isn't that good but fine for my short hair. The bed is so comfy and very good quality best we ever had in Greece and four fluffy pillows! There is a shower outside the apartments at the back, so you can get rid of any sand before getting into your room. They also provide mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel. The cleaner came in daily and made our bed and changed the towels, so everyday it was a joy to open the door to our fabulous room. Ignore strange and bad reviews and just book.

The hotel is perfectly located to the beach and restaurants and is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The hot tub is an excellent added bonus. Maria is lovely and so helpful even booking our transfers. The room was spotlessly clean and the cleaner made sure the room was spotless everyday and that we had fresh towels and bedding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a very nice beach resort. There are definitely some pro's and con's which everyone will have a different opinion on, so this is just my own opinion. We stayed here with our young son, and I do recommend this beach resort. We stayed at Agios Gordios Beach Resort for a few nights at the end of October, Firstly, the pools are beautiful but NOT HEATED. I just wanted to state that because it was hard to find that information before staying here. It also isn't a complaint, I just wanted to put that information available for people wondering. We still very much enjoyed sitting poolside with a glass of wine in the evenings. The resort is very beautiful, but people should know that it isn't a hotel with 24hr service. Think of it more as a vacation rental with daily cleaning service and reception during working hours. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful, and very dreamy with the pool having views of the ocean and stunning sunsets. We stayed here with our son (5yrs old) in the split level apartments. It was very comfortable having two beds and two full bathrooms, the space is very well thought out. It was the off-season and we arrived after a very bad storm, so I believe they were dealing with some aftermath clean up, the reception warned us on arrival that it is difficult to get service that time of year. Although we did not experience any issues with our room and didn't need anything major. We had a small issues with the toilet water constantly running on one of the days, but it was dealt with immediately. We enjoyed the having the kitchen and being able to make coffee and light breakfast in the mornings. Because it was the last week in October, it was rather chilly in the mornings and evenings, so we used the heat in the rooms to make it comfortable. I did see the downstairs single level suites and think that if we stay again we would stay downstairs as I liked the terrace much better. The pools downstairs are bigger, the terrace has sun loungers to sit out in the sun and they are placed in a shallow water area which then runs into the pool. I think for small children this would be so nice, but the accommodation itself is smaller inside. A family of three could maybe fit downstairs and if you're going to this place I think the outside is more important then the inside because you're going for a sunny beach holiday and hope to be outside more then inside. I also noticed they have suites on the back side ( mountain views) with hot tubs, I didn't see these on the website so I don't know how you would book these or even know about them. But it would also be something we would try booking next time if we go in the off-season again... because id rather a hot tub I could use then a cold pool to look at. Also for anyone wondering, the sliding patio doors to the pools do lock if you're worried about staying here with your children. Just be very careful because the tiles are super slippery when you have wets feet. They do provide a bath foot towel, but I think a rubber mat would be much safer. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin, we could hear the neighbours, luckily nobody was partying like I've read in other posts. But you could hear when they came home, or left or even opening dresser drawers. I would recommend if you are a light sleeper like me to take earplugs because the ocean waves are also very loud in the night. I would also like to add that the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and did there best to accommodate us and our needs. There were still a decent amount of restaurants to eat at around the area, and they were all great. Firstly pro's: Rooms are modern, beautiful and super clean. Maid service does an incredibly job, the interior is spotless. Having a pool with an incredible view is very luxurious feeling. Air conditioning/ heating in each room. Kitchen is perfect for breakfast or light meals. Kitchen also well stocked Bed comfortable. Views amazing Cons: Very thin walls can hear neighbours Pools not heated to cold to enjoy in the off season Floors can be dangerously slippery around the pool when wet (like after using the pool) If you are a light sleeper the ocean can be very loud even with windows closed.

Stayed for 3 nights out of 4 I was booked for. Power outage which I know was out of hotels control. We had a stairs in our room and could not see a thing as we had no light or power left in our phones. Went to reception to look for flashlight or candles only to find reception was locked and nobody around to help. We still had no power the next morning and asked manager when power was expected to be back but she did not know. We explained we needed power so explained we were going to move to a different hotel and asked if we would get any kind of a refund as we had paid up front for the whole stay but were refused a refund of any kind eventhough we could not stay without power as it was to dangerous to move around our 2 floor accommodation in total darkness. She said we were not entitled to a refund for checking out a day early as it was not the hotels fault and they were providing us with what we paid for. But we were not getting what we paid for. We had no TV no WiFi no lights no fridge no cooking options no power nobody at reception and totally dangerous to stay here when we could not see anything going up or downstairs. Manager didn't care less she phoned hotel owner but said we were not entitled to any refund even though we had to check out a day early. When I handed back in keys and checked out she again told me we were not entitled to a refund. I said fine but I'm not happy and would be writing a review on tripadvisor explaining what had happened. She said I could write what I liked as she didn't care and she would reply to my review and deny any of the things I wrote. So I'm sure she will.!!!! The rest of our holiday was great and the people of Corfu are all really friendly and can't wait to go back. I just wouldn't stay at this hotel. One final thing When we went to check in she told us to cancel our booking with booking. Com and to rebook with her directly for a 60euro discount. We told her we couldn't do that but she asked for our phone and she did it herself. Then came back with 60euro in cash. We later found out she did this with other guest as well. Don't think that's very fair or honest to booking com. Can't wait to hear what reply she gives to this review but am fairly sure it won't be honest just as it wasn't with what she doing to booking. Com.

This review has taken me a while but I have thought about it quite a lot lately and have realised how poorly I was treated and how annoyed I actually am. I booked this property for 6 nights as a honeymoon after my Corfu town hall wedding. When I arrived I was told my room would not be available until the next day but it was ok as I would be given a better room ( 2 bedroom duplex ) for the night . I’m not sure how this was supposed to be acceptable to me as obviously I was very tired after a stressful few days sorting out my wedding. I had a little moan about this not being good as I wanted to unpack and chill out I was on my honeymoon. My husband didn’t like the confrontation so told me to forget about it. I was never offered a discount and also asked to pay cash for my 200 pounds a night room . I felt poorly treated and have read similar reviews. So please beware

We stayed here for two weeks in July. In general the place is very good, if you are on the middle floor where we stayed for most of the stay you get a pool which is about 3 x 3 meter I guess and about 1.7cm deep, infinity pool with sea view and sun beds, which is nice. The cleaner was amazing, I've stayed in a lot of places and you could tell she tried her best. However about half way through the stay we had problems with another guest who was extremly entitled and selfish on the ground floor, shouting loudly at 2am, with music etc. Then the next day some young students next door decided to party at 4am. The hotel can do very little about this except ask people to be quiet. I would say the doors to the rooms needed better sound proofing as well. We complained several times, and the lady who manages everything (Maria I think her name was) managed to move us to an upstairs two floor appartment. It had a much smaller pool which is more like a bath but we were grateful that it was much more quiet and peaceful. I think the pools are a little bit of a gimic but they are nice in a way. The owner didnt seem to care too much but the hotel manager Maria and the cleaner who run the place were very good and deserve credit. Overall the place was clean, nice location, rooms were reasonable etc so I put 4 out of 5. Beware of noisey guests. Also driving to the small hotel carpark in a large car is a nightmare, the road down to the hotel is so cramped and badly designed with no-one enforcing respectful parking but this is not the hotels fault. I think next time we will just pay a couple of grand more and have a private villa.

Our stay was on the second floor in a multi-level apartment. Just steps away from the ocean and the view amazing! Private Infinity Pool, Outdoor kitchen and two bathrooms were an added plus! The hotel manager, Maria was cordial and helpful! Our experience was so relaxing and quite. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but is steps away from Funky Land and several other restaurants. Several grocery markets within walking distance...suggest you pick up some coffee grounds and cream if you are an early riser and need your coffee as most breakfast options open at 9am.
