Stayed here as part of Holland America Denali land tour. Nice setting for resort with river curving around property, main building and services up on hill. Rooms in chalet have sitting area with flat screen and bedroom at rear. No air conditioning and on a warm summer day this could be a real problem. Open windows to ventilate lets in...

I booked this hotel with little information, but was very pleasantly surprised! For a visit in the summer it was perfect! It is literally a five minute drive or less to the entrance of Denali National Park, and they have hotel shuttles that go back and forth if you need them. Pretty much 90% of the restaurants within driving distance...

My Mother and I stayed at the McKinley Chalet Resort after our Holland America cruise. It is a beautiful location and hotel. The actual rooms are a shuttle bus ride down the hill from the check- in location. Typically this would not be an issue- but with a migraine- it left my Mom alone, in the dark, to fend for...

We thought we would be in a wooden lodge, instead we were in Canyon lodge which was in fact a hotel without a reception down amongst the lodges, that said it was comfortable and quiet and well serviced with their shuttle buses. Be warned this is a very expensive area to eat

On the bus ride from Seward to Denali, the driver made a comment that Holland America's McKinley Chalet Resort was close to "5 stars". While the building was nice and fairly new ( 2yrs old) we found there were several issues. For one, the lodge we stayed in had no WiFi. While we had good ATT 4G service, the data...

We were with a HAL cruise tour and assigned a disabled room in the Canyon Lodge, although the setting was lovely I was a bit disappointed with the room. It had no view and the bathroom was dated and not in good repair. Our luggage had got lost due to wrong tags being given and although they had been informed...

This resort has a lot to offer yet there are a few shortcomings. No A/c, ok open the windows you say, yet when there is only one hour of darkness and a walking path outside the window, this is not the best option for those of us who want a cool and dark room. There's only wifi in the main...

We arrived a few hours early since we had to meet a tour at 2pm. The staff was able to get us a room 2 hours before check in time. The room had 2 double beds, the sink was in the room and the bathroom was separate. There was a small porch. We slept with the window open and enjoyed...

Property is owned by Holland America and virtually all inmates are on a Holland America tour This property is built on a ridge with a central building providing a grill room (small) a bar (very small) and an out building for breakfast and dinner It is surrounded by a few small outbuildings for bedrooms This obviously is how it was...

as part of the Holland America cruise this is the hotel. it is nice, clean and convenient. We were disappointed that the beds were a 3/4 and a twin. as a couple we would have liked a choice. the rooms seem to be set up for sleeping a lot of people as they have a living room with a sleeper...
