Hotel Sappho is the oldest in Eressos and also one of the oldest on the island. Every year it is visited by people from all over the world, who leave with the best impressions. It welcomes you with its recently renovated and fully equipped rooms and it promises unforgettable holidays. All the rooms are on the first floor. It is located in a privileged location in the heart of Skala Eressos and only 2 meters from the sea. From your room balcony you can enjoy the fabulous view of the Aegean sunset as the sea is under your feet. On the ground floor there is a Restaurant and Café-Bar. On the beach front deck you can enjoy a great variety of snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here you will meet your friends and have a leisurely drink in a lounge atmosphere. The best place to stay in Skala Erasou. Lovely staff and the owner name is Marianna make our vocation fantasticly. There is no any car noise, just listen to waves and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Don't forget to taste Marianna's special frape. I deffinetly will come again!

I’ve spent 5 nights and they didn’t change towels. Smallest shower (70x70cm) ever with curtain. Very noisy, above bars. Irresponsible manager (Marianna) and staff. I paid cash and I didn’t get the receipt, although I asked 3 times for it. It’s definitely unacceptable behavior. Marianna (manager) said Antonis will make the receipt, the receptionist said she cannot make it (but she can take the money). The law in Greece says clearly „the customer has not to pay if he doesn’t get a receipt“. Don’t be stupid (like I was) and pay without getting a receipt (you have the right to leave or let them call the police). It’s very sad to see how people like Marianna destroy the image of beautiful Greece.

You will be lucky if you have a room with sea view in this hotel. Very comfortable room and bed, you take breakfast (buffet included) just near the sea.... Marianna, the owner is a very nice person. And to check all the good things about Sappho Hotel, it's a reasonable price to sleep rocked by the waves or contemplate the starry sky in the night !!

As a local, having visited most of the Hotels in Eresos i can assure you Sappho Hotel is the worst possible option. First of all, the manager is incredibly rude and arrogant to the clients. The room equipments such as the A/C are not functional, even if they tried to convince us they are, as well as the Wifi that stopped working the second day. The room itself is suffocating and in addition with the heatwave created dangerous conditions. There are cheaper Hotels in Eresos with higher quality services to enjoy your vacations. Beware!

Perfect location! You fall asleep listening to the waves. And so friendly, warm people! Hospitality from the past. The breakfast is very good with homemade pies and the rooms are very clean (towels every day). High value for money.

Stayed here 2 nights whilst staying in the area. The hotel is right on the beach and a great location to step out the door and go for a swim. Exceptionally clean hotel and although the room and bathroom rather small perfectly adequate for our stay. Breakfast was a lovely choice on hot and cold foods on the terrace over looking the sea, staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again .

I was so looking forward to staying at this hotel. I booked months ago on a popular and very reliable booking site for a two people, double bed ,room with a view with balcony. When we arrived they said the room I booked was for a single person even though the paperwork I had showed I paid for a room for two people. They took us up to a room small room with a window that backed on to the street - no balcony, no view. When I said that this is not what I booked, they said take it or leave it. I could go on with the rest of our conversation but we were caught between a rock and a hard place so we stayed in the room. They were clearly blaming us for the error of the booking site. The location is beautiful,no doubt about it. The hotel was clean, good wifi and air conditioning and the housekeeping staff were extremely attentive. Just a caution to those who do not book directly with the hotel that you may not get the room that you paid for.....…

It is your best option if you want to be as close to the sea as possible. You lie in your bed and look at the sea. If it’s not too hot you can have the balcony door opening and listen to the sea falling asleep! Mariana and Antony are wonderful owners as is Elena who works there. The rooms are cleaned every day. If you want something not on the menu they do everything to accomodate your inquiry. There is a massage and jaktdressur downstairs. The massage is highly recommended. Room 1,3,16,17,18 and 19 have seaview. Nice and cool on the balcony in the morning and evening. Everything you need is right outside. Love this place! 👍😊

Sappho hotel is amazing in every way, location, service, value and overall experience of the senses. Room 17 overlooks the azure Aegean Sea. You can keep your balcony doors open to hear the romantic pounding surf of the waves or close them and use the very comfortable A/C! The staff is the best. They are all beautiful people inside and out !!!! The cafe below is one of the best on the boardwalk , the chef is extremely talented especially in authentic Greek cooking, not to mention the breakfast buffet is the best around!!! We spent a lovely week in June at this unique waterfront hotel, Don't miss the Sappho, it gets better in your memory as time goes by.

My family is from Eressos and we travel there every summer from the US. The setting is wonderful as it is right on the beach! Mariana, the owner, is so warm, friendly, kind and eager to please! Her staff is also eager to provide great service. There is now a spa in the hotel that offers hair services, mani/pedis and massages. We spent every day on the beautiful deck overlooking the sea. The atmosphere there is amazing! I highly recommend Hotel Sappho.
