These apartments were conveniently placed for us,we had a hire car but whilst staying local used the bikes which were available for guests to use ,all different sizes .The "town " was a 10 min walk if not into cycling ,and beach just down the road. It was a peaceful haven with lovely gardens . Was lucky enough to sample... More

Eleni who is the owner of Heliotopos is a wonderful person who takes a very good care of her guests. For us Heliotopos is our second home, very large and cozy rooms shared with palm trees, great large garden with palm and fig trees. Lots of cooling shade, peace and quiet. If you want a magic, unforgettable stay in Skala... More

I’ve stayed twice at Heliotopos this summer (a fortnight in May, and lucky to sneak back for a long weekend in July after a chunk of time in the capital, Mytilene). Heliotopos is perfect – secluded and peaceful, a short walk to the beach (the best on the island), and a 10-minute or so walk to the centre with restaurants,... More

Stayed here two nights. Calm and tranquil surroundings. We borrowed bikes to cycle to and from town. Make sure you are competent on a bike as some maintenance issues (brakes for example). Still this was a free perk. After staying in a variety of accommodation around the island the best thing about Heliotopos is the very comfy bed and the... More

We stayed in one of these beautiful studio apartments in early June. Eleni the owner was most welcoming and helpful. Our one bedroom studio was spacious, clean and well furbished in a fresh contemporary style. The studios are situated in picturesque orchards overlooking orchards and scenic countryside. A 15 minute walk along beautiful country lanes takes you to the beach... More

Now owned by Eleni. This is a peaceful oasis just out of Skala Eressos. It is an easy and pleasant walk both to the village, where it is possible to buy basic supplies, and to the beach and waterside eateries. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax. We were invited by, Despina, the owner's mother, to help... More

...or rather outside town in lovely, calm surroundings. The best choice, if you want a quiet place to stay during your holidays. It is like a small, green oasis of silence with a great view to the mountains. Our 2 room apartment was nice, clean, with aircon, good beds and a balcony with shade and a great view. The two... We only stayed the one night whilst touring around the island, but it's easy to understand why it's rated number 1 - it's just such a peaceful and relaxing place, yet only a 15-20 walk to the beach/bars and restaurants. Our Studio was super clean and was fine for the one night, but would have felt a bit on the... More

We stayed here for the second time and yet again had a fabulous holiday. Patrick and Debbie are so accomodating, whatever your needs. Spotlessly clean, comfortable with fruit on trees to pick at will and Patrick growing veg too. Condiments are provided and frezh coffee and treats on arrival. A 300 meter stroll takes you to the village via Spring... More

Heliotopos is great: stylish, cozy, and bright. The furniture are nice and we had a nice kitchenette and a great space to have dinner in the terrace, surrounded by lush greenery. The terrace was suitable also during daytime in the hottest hours, as Heliotopos is always windy and fresh. From there, you can walk to a gorgeous beach or to... More
