We have just returned from a lovely family holiday at Stella Palace. It was myself, husband & 5yo daughter. Lots of great things to talk about with this place and a few areas I think need to be improved before I could give the resort a 5* The good: Water park is excellent, clean & well maintained. Food at the water park is as expected with burgers, hot dogs etc but it is great quality and never disappointed. Ice cream, drinks, cakes etc all great and we spent most days at the water park as it catered brilliantly for us as a family. The grounds of the hotel are so well maintained. Clean and landscaped to a really high standard. Staff are friendly, helpful & polite. I didn’t encounter a single member of staff that didn’t seem keen to want to help and engage with us. The staff are a real credit to this hotel & made us feel really comfortable at all times. Drink selection was brilliant. The cocktails on offer with the all inclusive package have been some of the best I have tried, I recommend the Sea Breeze!! Husband said the beer was good quality & our daughter very much enjoyed the non alcoholic selections they had on offer. I find it useful to read about the improvements from other holidaymakers so I’ll include mine about this resort Improvements: The standard rooms need to be refurbished to meet the standards the rest of the hotel sets. While clean they are very dated and at best are 3* quality. Investment in these rooms is desperately needed so I hope this is on the hotel managements agenda. Food, in general we found the food at the buffet lacking in variety & flavour. My no means are we fussy eaters but there just wasn’t enough selection at meal times and very repetitive. I think the size of the buffet restaurant restricts what it can offer and for the size of resort, number guests & the 5* rating we expected more. I would also say that a lack of snack bar around pool areas is odd for a resort of this size & rating. Reserving of sunbeds is a very big issue at this hotel. I’ve never stayed somewhere before where it is this bad. If you are not up at 7am setting up on a bed then you have no chance at all. We didn’t get to spend a single day by any of the 3 pools which was a real shame. We tried one day at 9am but every single bed was taken with only about 20% occupied, another check at lunch showed most still not in use. I think people reserve and make use of the water park in morning then head to pools in afternoon. Despite what the hotel say I never once saw reserved unused beds being cleared of towels by management. This needs to be a problem the hotel sorts immediately, it put a real dampener on our holiday. We felt a big part of the hotel was off limits to us during our holiday A la cartes. We ate at the Mexican & Asian inspired restaurants and while lovely I would say a few improvements are needed. Food portions are small in each location & no free cocktail options to choose. The Mexican restaurant also doesn’t have a toilet so you need to exit and use facilities elsewhere on the resort. In summary we did enjoy the holiday and I would recommend if none of the points above are deal breakers for people when searching for a holiday. I’m not sure we would return straight away but certainly enjoyed enough of the resort to think about coming back in a few years…
After this hard year, I really needed a week of relaxing to charge up my energy. I set my heart on Stella hotel and SPA the moment I found it, and I couldn't have been more surprised by how good it really was. It was not crowded at all, and although it wasn't always easy, there were sunbeds for everyone. The bar drink selection was pretty good, and the staff was super accomodating with any off-menu request we had. Beware that the all-inclusive ends at 23 sharp, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I found the off-meals food selection to be a bit disappointing as well, having mostly crepes, hot dogs, and ice cream. We were all adults, but I would imagine this would make a trip with kids more difficult. All in all, this was the best holiday I've ever had. The themed restaurants were unbelievably good, the spa treatments we had were well worth the price and the staff were lovely. The beach was a bit underwhelming but I can't hold that to the hotel. Just stick to their amazing pools and enjoy the pool side bars.…
This was a twice delayed family holiday - originally booked for Summer 2020 as our first holiday together as a family of four. When we booked our kids were 5 and 7, now 7 and 9 we were a little apprehensive that we might have outgrown the idea of a family first all inclusive resort. However, we were wrong, the kids, and we loved it all. Most of the reviews on here speak of the highlights - the waterpark is better than most standalone waterparks I have visited with something for everyone. - the food is exceptional. - the staff are great. So I will mention things I've not seen mentioned. Not really negatives but worthy of note. Reservation of sun loungers. No resort is going to be able to provide enough sunloungers for all possible guests - that can't work - I accept that. Signs as you enter the pool areas and on every single parasol tell of the rule not to reserve sun loungers and that towels would be removed. But still by 7am every single day of our stay every single lounger was reserved with probably 10% tops with people actually on them or in the pool. Infuriating is not the word. I admit to breaking by the 4th day and setting my alarm for 6am just to allow my family to sit round the pool on a lounger for the day. I felt awful doing it but nothing - absolutely nothing was done about it. The additional restaurants where you are allowed to eat once per stay get booked up very early. You cannot reserve these until you have checked in - about an hour after checking in I was only able to book us into 2 of the 4 as no other availability at all. The beach - it isn't great, it is shallow and cramped with litter and smells we walked down that way twice but it really was not worth leaving the complex if walking only a short distance on foot. Kids club - now this is a bit of an assumption as we did not use it but from the outside it did not look much - a dark dingy hut tucked away - I would have expected more from such a family focused resort. But these should not be seen as major issues - just worthy of note. We would not be averse to returning but would probably not just as we would want to experience different places for our rare holidays.…
Absolutely amazing place to unwind! For everyone! Landscaped with palm trees to relax completely around the pools. Organised for everyone: I preferred to stay in the quieter area by one of the pools with the book, my teenage girls got crazy on the fantastic Water Park. I can’t say thank you enough to the hotel and restaurants’ staff for their excellent service and hospitality that made us feel so welcomed!!! Big thank you to ELENA-behind the reception desk, with her smile and professionalism she met us from the start to the end, RAFAEL-from the Veranda restaurant-with his exceptional customer service and advice about local food and drinks, tall GEORGE- from Greek restaurant, for family-like welcoming and passionate teaching us Greek language. The staff in every single place of the hotel complex, bars, sweet corner, restaurants and spa tried to go the extra mile to help and to offer fantastic customer service! The food was absolutely delicious and there was a choice for everyone’s taste. Cleaning ladies made our beds beautifully and kept our room very clean, I had to insist, there was no need to change towels every day 😊Our family room was very big with fantastic view from the private patio over the pool surrounded by the palm trees. The hotel also has its own private beach where we went if it was too hot and needed more windy weather. Going on the left, from the hotel, there is a fantastic, sandy beach for walks we enjoyed to take. Overall, Stella Palace hotel, made us feel welcomed and we will definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!…
This place is absolute paradise on earth! You literally do not want for anything. The staff were absolutely incredible and took the time to make our holiday really special. We were allocated room 595 and from what I can make out has been redone recently. Every amenity you could wish for in there. The fridge was restocked with fresh bottled water everyday. There were also fresh towels provided as well. The food in the Poseidon restaurant was plentiful and of a really high standard. The staff were also fantastic and attended to your every need. Even when it is busy, you are seated quickly. The entertainment staff and the quality of the entertainment was amazing. My kids loved the disco and were keen to have a good dance every night. Make sure that you check out the acrobat and the circus show. I won’t spoil it, but you will be amazed! I wanted to give a particular mention to the day time staff at the Thallasa bar who were always giving service with a smile and always happy to have a chat! Also a big mention to the staff at Palms Sweet Corner who kept up filled up with ice cream, slushies and cake! A huge unexpected surprise was the water park! Somehow we managed to miss how incredible this place was going to be before we arrived, but surprised isn’t the word. More absolutely shocked, in a great way! The hot food was plentiful and varied. It also gives you a good excuse to grab some well earned time in the shade. The swimming pools were absolutely incredible and give all ages the opportunity to swim. I couldn’t believe how long my kids spent in the pool, and I had come armed with games to keep them busy! This was not needed at all. If, like me you trawl through TripAdvisor to get advice about each hotel, there is no need with this one. Just book it, now, open up that other window on your screen and press book. You won’t regret it!…
We just got back from 4 nights at Stella Palace and we were very impressed. We stayed in the newer section of family suites next to a shared pool. The room was really nice and comfortable for our family of 4. The resort staff are extremely friendly and were helpful and accommodating with all of our requests. The breakfasts were truly incredible with a large variety of options. The food at the main buffet restaurant at lunch and dinner was nice but with limited fish/vegetarian options. The water park was really fun and the poolside snacks were generally on point. The pools were really great. In general it was not too crowded. We did not get a chance to try the ala Carte restaurants. Sunset on the beach was beautiful. There was nightly entertainment that was surprisingly enjoyable. It was really an excellent family vacation, and I wish that we had a couple more days there.…
Beautiful resort with great food, friendly staff, nice clean rooms and beautiful pools. My teenage daughter had a really fun time because she met other teens. Inclusive drinks at the pool bars were good and bar tenders very friendly. Found my new favorite tropical drink, Blue Lagoon! We didn’t try the new water park but it looked nice. A couple reasons that I didn’t give it 5 stars - we weren’t able to get a dinner reservation at any of the hotels on any of the 3 nights we stayed there and the beach was a bit disappointing after spending time on Mykonos. The pools were beautiful so that helped. As for the food, we had to eat at the buffet at Poseidon for all but one meal (lunch) and it was very good, just a bit of the same when you eat every meal there for 4 days. Fortunately, we met a lovely hostess, Pangiotta (forgive my spelling) who had studied in Texas and helped make our experiences at Poseidon as enjoyable as possible. We may have gotten a bit tired of the same food but not of her sweet smiling face, and we miss her already!…
Loved it - would stay again. Very friendly staff and entertainments team, regular activities throughout the day (water polo etc). I went with my partner on a couples holiday and chose to stay in the family resort as we enjoy family activities and entertainment - although there were a lot of young families and children around, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A couple of things that could be improved - The restaurants can be hard to book so I would advise people to book them for the whole week on your first day. The waiters/waitresses love to clear your plates before you’ve even finished eating! It was very difficult to order a drink at the main buffet. Every morning at breakfast we wanted a coffee but weren’t offered one, so I tried to use the coffee machine myself (accessible to guests) and was told to go and sit down… they could really do with a couple members of staff dedicated to drinks at meal times. Overall I would stay again, but would like a slightly better experience at meal times.…
We came to Stella Palace for our honeymoon and it was so amazing and so relaxing. Yes, you read correctly. Its a family resort and yet we were still able to relax. We were upgraded to a room with a sharing pool, a lovely gift of cake, fruit and sparkling wine had been left in our room and we were given a complimentary meal even though we were only staying for 4 nights. We ate at all restaurants but Enzo was our favourite - the food had so much flavour. The all inclusive buffet at Poesidon was nice and there was alot of choice which was good. The waterpark was so much fun. We didnt have our son with us which meant we got to enjoy the adult rides. The resort itself was maintained to such a high standard. Everything was clean, no rubbish left around and you could see how hard the staff worked. The cleaners who would mop around the rooms, bar and pools in the early hours before everyone wakes, the gardeners, the bar and serving staff the lifeguards, the pool staff who would fish out the 1 stray leaf which would be floating in the pool, guest services, reception. Honesly we couldnt fault anything. Even using the app made things easier. Thank you Stella Palace for an amazing stay and hopefully we will be back next year. …
Our second holiday at Stella palace and the hotel was even better than the 1st time. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. We had a family room with pool view and it was perfectly located to all of the facilities and restaurants. My husband enjoyed the Yoga and palettes and thanks to Alina (the instructor) he plans to take it up at home. Our 11 year old daughter enjoyed the pool and the water park. The food was really good with a large variety to suit everyone. Thank you Stella Palace we hope to see you again x
