Well where do I start :( on arrival our accommodation was basic to say the very least, to the point we lived out of suitcases for 7 days. The set up of the room was hideous as the family accommodation had a double and single bed in one room and a fridge and single bed in the other, surely it made sense to have 2 single beds in one room for kids!!! The best room was the bathroom but that ended in tears as it was a at room with very slippery floors and I ended up falling and hurting my cocsit :(( the food was of a poor standard and didn’t cater for kids very well at all,no burgers, chicken nuggets etc the food was very random so struggled to get a plate of food that belonged together!! The beach bar staff were happy to serve the people they new and ignored the rest of us and was given smaller measures. It became apparent that stella village was made up of 3 and the village part was the poor relation, this wasn’t apparent at the point of booking!!!! The photos of the pool and the accommodation was nothing we experienced and we were not allowed to access the better pool locations, only the water park which was the only luxury we experienced all holiday!!!!! The night entertainment was minimal and the bar was that far away you had to choose entertainment or drink??? As we chose the bar the evenings were horrendously boring and I couldn’t wait to fly home!!! Seriously to admit to costing over £3000 for this was sole destroying, please recoil at this advertisement as it doesn’t make it clear that the nice parts are Stella palace, NOT Stella village!!!

Pros - Best waterpark i have ever been to when staying at a hotel. Great for all ages, food and drinks good……..ice cream, cakes and the facilities/rides were so good. - Kids pool - in Stella village they had a kids pool, by the front of the hotel, this was great as the Bar/Restaurant next door was very beach bar vibes and my daughter could play in a safe environment. - Staff - work hard……always busy and seen alot drafted in the restaurant when it got over busy. - Reception team - I did have a few incidents in which i had to speak to them. The lady who is the supervisor, i seen a few times her dealing with a few complaints, which can be draining but she is very friendly and will try her best. Food - Presented well, food tasted nice, also have cons though VIP - If you have used Stella hotels before u get a VIP pass that basically lets u have 1 night at Stella Village and a VIP night where u get goodies. General Manager if hotel is very friendly and does a great job. Grounds - tidy and well kept, driving at night ti the apartment when we first arrived in the buggy how it was lit, soo nice. Also left us some sandwiches and a salad when we arrived at 12 at night. Cons - Rooms, for a 4 star very outdated. We had a family room. As i had a 4 year old, some nights we had early nights and some afternoons she might need a sleep. The first room had no wifi or english tv, could not even use my phone to put something on. We moved and the second room had nickelodean so my daughter had something to watch. Wifi - could not connect- i have an iphone 11 and it just wouldnt work. Dont use wifi all the time but nice to put netflix on if i was having an early one or just catch up. Reception advised they needed my IP address to see if they could help. Food - 4 star I expected more, it was standard and more 3 star for the range. We ate at 2 restaurants at Stella Palace and it was really nice…..stella village was like a cattle market some nights, queuing and waiting to get in for dinner. Stella palace - u cant use the facilities unless u pay 30 euros per day pp. Pools alot nice, towels given more luxurious, just general vibe was better and wished i had stayed here, felt like i was lower class walking through…..big difference. Adult pools in Stella Village - need an update, very 90’S. Bars and drinks - bars had limited staff so felt i was always queuing for a drink. Wine poor, cocktail’s nice not ur £10 ones u pay at cocktail bars but for all inclusive pretty standard - lemon drop was a firm fav.

Anna done a very good job while we was at Stella village. She is approachable and an outgoing person which made it more enjoyable when we stayed there. She deserves to be valued as one of the higher members of the team.

I went to visit Stella village with 2 friends. I knew there is a lot to do outside the hotel, but also because I already knew what the resort looked like. I used to work for Sunweb Xperience in 2019 at the Palace and it was the best time of my life. So it was nice to be back (this time at the village) to see everyone again. I remember a few of the animation team from 3 years ago, and some of them are new. They were amazing and we had a great time with them!! Especially Zulu, Iwona, Demsy, Adel and our new friend Tati! Even tho she couldn’t dance with us in the disco due to her knee, she still came to talk to us the whole evening! We had a great time with her. The food was good, everyday the same basic things but also different foods. The check in was quick and clear and overall this was a very nice holiday. I’d recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks to the staff for making our holiday even better!

From start to finish we received amazing service at this hotel. I’ve stayed in many fancy resorts prior to having children but have never enjoyed my holiday as much as when we stayed at Stella village. I’d firstly like to say a HUGE thank you to Captain Thothoris, Lucas and Dimi in the restaurant, I’m a single mum of 3 children and was nervous about going abroad. These three lovely people made our holiday very special!! THANK YOU 😊 The staff here were so welcoming, thank you Adel, Otto and Camille for keeping us entertained you did a great job. Thank you Emilie for giving us super service at the bar 😜 Also I’d like to say thank you to the lady blonde on reception (no name badge) My son wouldn’t stay in the shade the first 48 hours after we arrived and badly burned his face. She organised cream to be sent from the pharmacy and looked after us. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! We’ve got amazing memories and would have loved to return, it was too popular next year 😞 Thanks again!!

I’ll try to give an honest review, because I tend to rely on Tripadvisor for information myself. Visited for 11 x nights as a family of 5 in 2 x rooms. Stayed at the Village. Excellent welcome when we arrived very late at night following delays. Bit of cold buffet put on for us and the offer of drinks at the beach bar as it was after all inclusive hours. Reception staff were lovely. Quick to book us in and just enough information as we were tired. Buggy took us and our cases to the rooms. We’d asked in advance for ground floor rooms near to facilities. Mother in law had her room upgraded which was basically a renovated room. Not big but quality of finish was excellent. Our room wasn’t renovated. 1 x room with a double bed and a single bed separated by a bedside table. Bathroom was refurbished and a lovely big shower - watch the water though because it can scald you depending on who else is using elsewhere ! I was disappointed with our room. Drastically needs an upgrade. Old air con unit above main bed that leaked throughout the first night - it was like water torture dripping on me wherever I moved. Next morning I spoke to reception and 2 x maintenance guys were straight out and fixed the air con and housekeeping delivered us 2 x soft pillows because our originals were too hard. After initial disappointment, our room was ok - at the end of the day we were only in there to sleep. Would have been nice to have a terrace to sit and enjoy a drink , but sadly the space was taken up by the air con unit. I’d recommend asking for a ‘new’ room, but apparently all will be renovated soon. Food was as everyone else says very repetitive, but we always found something and never went hungry. We ended up eating out a few nights but that was our choice. We were allowed to book 5 x times in the mediterra restaurant on an evening. It was the same food as the main buffet but limited seating so less busy. The few times we ate in the main buffet was chaotic. Fighting for food, tables not cleaned, staff overwhelmed and kids running around dropping full plates of food as parents weren’t supervising. Mediterra also do breakfast that you don’t need to book. Nicer ambience overlooking sea with option to eat outside. We found drinks good. Lager fine and cocktails were nice. Just ask for a strong drink if there’s not enough vodka etc and they’ll oblige. Wine was also good. Little supermarket on site ideal to grab a few cold cans of beer for room or beach. Wry reasonably priced. The bars were a big problem. Huge queues and staff overwhelmed. With exception of 1 or 2 staff members, majority were amazing. Couldn’t do enough for you, always a smile and a hello or good morning. Beach is brilliant. Looks a bit cramped but it’s got everything you need. Enough sun beds, calm water you can walk in almost all way to jetty, a lifeguard and a water machine. A bar would be a huge bonus. Pools are a let down for the village. Main pool is small with a few other toddler pools at the side. Always seemed a bit cramped and chaotic so we avoided. We found another pool for the village marked on the map as ‘beach bar 2’ . This place had its own bar, pool table, comfier sun beds and very quiet most of the time. Have a look for it, you won’t be disappointed - huge pool. You’re not supposed to use palace pools / bars etc which is rightly so in my opinion. Likewise place shouldn’t use village. Water park is the selling point. Only criticism is for majority of rides, kids need to be 120cm. My son was 118cm and depending on which lifeguards were on, would depend if they allowed him on or not. I spoke to the supervisor a few times and common sense prevailed. I completely understand why the rules are in place, so not really a criticism, just be prepared. Massive pool scene here, slides for all ages, loads of sun beds - never struggled. Snack bar is probably best food at the hotel and low alcoholic drinks. It’s the jewel in the crown the water park. On the second to last day, I logged on the Stella app and there was a feedback form - usual scenario of give stats for cleanliness, food etc and a free text box. I don’t usually complete but I did on this occasion. I have honest feedback like I have here. The next day reception asked me to see them and wanted to discuss the feedback. We did and they gave us 8 x premium cocktails and a meal at the Elia restaurant in the palace. (The food wasn’t actually as good here as the village buffets). I mentioned this because clearly they pride on customer service and listen to feedback. Afterwards, the customer service manager was also present in the buffets keeping an eye on things which they hadn’t previously, again as a result of feedback I think. All in all, this was a great family holiday. With a few tweaks easily a 5 rating on trip.

We spent just 8 days between 06-13.07.2022 on Crete islands in Stella Village with aquapark acces to Stella Palace and we are very happy. The food, swimpools, service everything was great, The bubgalows have a real Greek culture what was any kind of diffrence but it was nice diffrence. Especially I would appreciate the stuff which work at main restaurant managed by captain Thothoridis , right man on the rignt pleace, his ability, habits, professionalism deserve the highest words of appreciation and should be noticed by the hotel managers. Great vacation in your hotel, Best Regards, Lukas with family from Poland

Where do we start? We stayed at Stella Village and it exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival the reception team made us feel very welcome and gave us all the helpful information we needed and arranged a porter to take us and our luggage on a cart to our room. Everything from the amenities, cleanliness, staff, food & drink, entertainment and pools were all just perfect. Adel the animation manager was amazing and always made sure everything ran smoothly. He made all the guests feel welcome and informed of all entertainment on offer. Giannis, Emily, Marina, 'Vin Diesel' and the all the other pool bar staff were absolutely brilliant. We had many good times with all of them ❤️ We always had our evening meal in the main restaurant and looked out at the beautiful sea. The staff in there were always on hand and always made sure you had everything you needed. Mergim, a particular waiter was such a lovely man so we always made sure we sat in the area he worked in ..... we also always had a shot of Raki with him 😊 such a kind hearted man. Our 2 children thought he was cool too 😎 There's also a bar open til the early hours playing some good dance music when the pool bar closes. The water park was amazing!!! We spent most days there as our 2 young teens loved it! All areas where kept extremely clean. Slides were manned appropriately and ensured everything ran safely and smoothly. The food and drink on offer up there was also really good. Hot, cold, soft and light alcohol drinks were all available. Food was good too. Pizza, Gyros, hotdogs, burgers, salads, chips, fish fingers, nuggets and fruit. They also had a separate sweet area offering iceceams and desserts. We highly recommend The Stella hotels. Their location is great too. The beach is literally a minutes walk from the front of the hotel. The sunset us a must! We watched this a few times. We even seen sea turtles! If you turn left out of Stella village and walk to the end of the road where there's a stream that comes off the sea, you will see all these sea turtles and they come upto you for food 🥰. There's enough bars, cafes and shops, but if you want abit more night life then a taxi is only about €10 to Hersonissos. This is where we normally stay in crete but our heads have been turned by Stella Village. We are really hoping to return next July once we have got married later in the year. Thank you so much everyone at Stella Village for a perfect family holiday ❤️ you have given us so many amazing memories. Hope to see you all again soon xxxxx

We arrived late and was left some rolls and salad in the room which was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had an 8 and 4 year old with us. They loved the waterpark! The food at the waterpark is good, burgers, pitas, hotdogs etc. There is plenty to do on site. The beach is also nice, nice little bay so that the waves aren't big, so the kids were able to go in the sea whenever they wanted. Sunbeds aren't supposed to be reserved but everyone does. We always found somewhere to sit. Food was nice too, agree with a previous review that the Mediterra bar lacked variety, however, it's more calm and quiet there. Good variety of drinks too, cocktails were freshly made. We did hire a car from the rental next door, they were really helpful, advising where to go. I'd definitely recommend Amazonas Park, where you are able to feed the lemurs. That was amazing! Evening entertainment was varied too, the boys loved the magic show, we saw a fire show, Cuban show. Staff were so friendly, Emilie is an absolute credit to the hotel! I'm not someone to say I would return to a place as I like to see different parts of an island or visit different islands etc, but I would return to Stella Village!

We arrived very late on 10th July, we were taken to our room and they had left a mixture of rolls and a plate of tomatoe& Mozarella which was a nice touch. Check in was easy and very friendly. Our room was fine and cleaned everyday with fresh towels and water. There was always something different to eat and the desserts were lovely, we also ate at the Mediterra restaurant but if I'm honest felt a little let down with the choice but still enjoyed what I had. The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly, would I come back 100% yes thankyou to everyone who helped make our holiday so enjoyable
