Stayed here in August 2022 for a week of expected calm and thats exactly what we got.Fabulous food in a fabulous hotel set within a cluster of small annexes of rooms.Food always fresh and plentiful.Breakfast, dinner and tea were excellent faily meals. No idiots ,no complaints and free shuttle bus into town x4 times a day if you wanted it.I would reccommend a trip into nearby Molyvos its fantastic and like greece used to feel 30 years ago.Safe, honesr and friendy people with a desire to help bring tourism back to Lesvos.
I have to say the scenery was beautiful that’s what made this holiday as for the hotel I felt the school canteen vibe with this all inclusive the food was fine but not much choice for children but I do except my daughter is fussy so if you have a child like mine this in itself is not for you. The staff were just ok not the friendliest, sort of felt like we We’re burden almost. The room was basic which was fine I expected that but the bathroom did smell which wasn’t very nice! the showers flooded everywhere so we did slip a few times so quite unsafe. I love the island but I wouldn’t come back to this hotel. The hotel needs updating desperately.
Spent a week at the Belvedere Hotel with the family in August 2022 and had a wonderful time. The hotel was in a great location with good facilities and very friendly helpful staff. The rooms are getting a little tired now, as others have mentioned, but they are a good size, they are clean, they have air conditioning and ours had an amazing view right across to the Turkish coast. For the money, they were fine. The hotel has two pools, both spotless and cleaned and serviced everyday. There were plenty of sun loungers at both and no need to play the towels on the bed game at the crack of dawn each day. Not only is this actively discouraged by the hotel, its not necessary either as most people didn't tun up until after 1000 each day. Having two distinct pools helped as well. The larger pool was for everyone but the smaller infinity pool they call the 'Relax Pool' was basically for adults only, however you can take well behaved children there later in the afternoon after around 1600 if you ask the staff and it's not too busy. The relax pool has a bar on site amazing views across the sea and a hot tub as well. The large main pool has a smaller toddlers pool with it as well and a smaller area for water polo etc but be warned it is very deep for a family pool! Great for diving in though! The main pool is located next to the restaurant and main bar which makes life very easy. There is a 'gym' of sorts located next to the main pool but only the bike and the chest press worked during our visit and the other equipment all needed servicing. Hopefully as they start generating revenue again after covid they will be able to look at updating and fixing it. The rooms are all chalet type rooms speed around the footprint of the site which is basically down the side of a hill looking out of the sea. Very easy to navigate around and not a vast sprawling site either. There are no safes in the rooms which is a shame but there is a safety deposit box system at reception which can be accessed 24hrs. There is no shop at the hotel which is a sham as there is certainly room for one and they are missing a trick there. There is a smaller hotel almost next door though and they have a shop open everyday where you can buy basics, including sun cream and aftersun and children's inflatables for the pool (obviously the prices are marked up accordingly). The same road that separates the two hotels also leads you down to the beach which is a 5 min walk away. There are a small number of sun beds at the beach but limited shade if you need it. The beach itself is shingle so you will need beach shoes, however the pay off for this is that the water is crystal clear and shallow for quite a way out so perfect for small children to paddle in. Its full of small fish as well so snorkel and masks or even just googles are recommended. The hotel is about 1500 metres from the nearest town of Molyvos which is well worth a visit. You can easily walk it if needed however the hotel runs a regular mini bus service and taxis are about 8 euros one way. The castle is worth a visit, although its quite a steep walk in the sun if you have small children. There is also an old labour full of restaurants and the sea front as well, again full of excellent bars and restaurants. Most of these have access to the beach with they own sun beds as well so you can stop there for a drink or food and use the beach. The hotel laid on entertainment everyday in the evenings but this was quite late if you have children. However, in keeping with the family theme it wasn't too lively and loud. The food was basic but pretty good, no complaints there from me. We never er ever had to que for it like you do in other larger resorts and there was always plenty. Staff we always on hand to replace trays quickly as well. There was a well stocked salad bar, good choice of main options and a good desert cart. There is also an ice cream stall for the kids which opens at 1500 each day. The restaurant has coffee and pastries/bread rolls/sliced meat etc out from around 0700 if you're up early and breakfast starts properly from around 0745. It only begins to get busy after 0900 but even then it was never difficult to get a table. When we stayed most of the other guests seemed to be Dutch and they were all extremely friendly and polite. This is a real family resort though, not a lively venue and probably best suited to pre-teen children, which is exactly what we wanted. If you want kids clubs and lots of activities for older children then look elsewhere. This was our third holiday with Jet2 and I can't complain about it at all, everything went as smoothly as you would hope. The transfer from the airport was by coach and takes about 2 hours. The journey had echoes of the final scene in 'The Italian job' as some of the roads in the mountains are a little steep, but the driver clearly knew what he was doing and if you don't look down you'll be fine... All in all I would recommend this place and for the money I think its excellent value. It's perfect for families with small children up to teenager or at the other end it would be good for a couple who want a quiet week away. If you have older kids who want lots of activities you might want to look at other venues. We would defiantly go back though.…
We visited the hotel Belvedere and arrived back yesterday. View was amazing from all rooms and areas of the hotel. Pool was lovely and clean. Very quiet hotel and suitable for families. Rooms quite basic but very large and can accommodate a family of 4 easily. Drinks menu very good with lots of cocktails included in all inclusive. Salad selection for all meals was great and dishes varied. Would recommend this hotel and it was a very reasonable price.
June 17 2022 until July 1 2022 we finally we could return to our favorite Greek Island, Lesvos and the beautiful town of Molyvos. We stayed at the only “all inclusive” hotel at the island and it was, once again, a very pleasant experience. Although the rooms and bathrooms could do with a little update it still is a nice and clean hotel with a very friendly and polite staff that are always willing to help you with whatever you want to know or do. Variation and quality off the is food, specially in the morning you can get whatever you want, from a full blown English breakfast to a continental one, or your daily cereals and fruits. We will definitely return here in the future. Thank you Maria and your staff for a very nice holiday and we will meet again next year.
Very nice hotel just outside of Molyvos. We booked all-in. The room was somewhat outdated, but everything we needed was there. TV (with a Dutch channel) fridge, couch and a desk. Beds were hard, but oke. And you could get a bed topper on request. Almost every room has a seaview overlooking the straits between Lesvos and the Turkish coast. Staff were very friendly and helped in every way they could. Paraschos Axiotis ‘The Chef’ and kitchen staff did a great job serving a good mix between traditional Greek food and continental dishes. The only thing I hated was a few of Dutch people trying to get more then they could get. We had a near perfect holiday with great food and drinks, nice people, helpful and friendly Greek staff. Who could ask for more. Coming back to this hotel? For sure.…
We have just returned from a perfect week at this hotel. Here is my honest review. Hotel The hotel itself is incredibly picturesque, with stunning views of the Aegean sea. It is fairly small so easy to navigate around. There are a lot of steep slopes and stairs, so if you have mobility issues you are best off asking for a room near the front. Everything was spotlessly clean. Rooms There has been several comments about the rooms being dated. I did not find this. The rooms were very spacious, cleaned every day and the view from the balcony was simply amazing. Food As you would expect from a small hotel, the buffet is fairly small and rather repetitive. That being said, even as a vegetarian, it was easy to have a good meal and the food was of a very good quality. Breakfast was a mixture of continental and cooked. At lunch and dinner there was a large salad bar, soup and bread, pasta with 2 sauces, about 8 hot dishes and desserts. Overall I really enjoyed it. Drinks A few people have complained about the all inclusive options for drinks. I felt that there was plenty of choice. There is a red and white wine, beer, ouzo and house cocktails. There are options for other drinks if you want to pay. The wine tasted a bit warm to me, so I would ask for ice with it. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait to order, but it wasn't an issue for me. Pools The pools are a great size for the hotel. The main pool gets deep very quickly so there is only a small area suitable for young children. The infinity pool and hot tub is absolutely beautiful, but adults only. Everything is cleaned regularly. Location The location is great. It's not far from Molyvos. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus, or you can get a cab for 7 euros. Staff The staff are amazing. So personable, friendly and hardworking. They really make your holiday special Overall Our family had the most special holiday. We couldn't ask for anything better. Fingers crossed we will return next year.…
Perfect to relax for a week. Beautiful sea views and sunsets. Friendly, delicious food with a good selection that we didn't get bored of, just a short taxi / free shuttle from beautiful molyvos. Fun Greek dancing night at the hotel. Lovely adult infinity pool to relax. Decent rooms. Fantastic value for money. Only downside is most of the main pool is too deep to stand so if you have little ones needing to stand up they only have small area.
What an unbelievable stay at the amazing Belvedere Aeolis hotel, we loved every minute of the trip and the staff at the hotel really made this happen. Pros Great location, beautiful sunsets and views across to Turkey Food choices for a 3* all inclusive were very impressive, probably the best buffet options we have seen Food shows were impressive, the Tzatziki one in particular changed how we will make it in future! The staff, this is where the hotel truly excels, every member of staff was lovely and helpful Hotel is a <10 euro taxi fare to Molyvos & harbour, we had a couple of family members with mobility issues and booked taxis from hotel and *tip* we used to book from a bar/restaurant for return leg. All drivers excellent. The pools are excellent, the Infinity Pool was amazing! A tip is to always check whether people are in there as if no adults only the staff may allow children in. This really made our holiday and we were always respectful to leave if adults came down Cons The rooms could do with a little modernisation, however, they are spotless and beds made up each day The beach is not kept clean and is a bit pebbly, to be honest did not need it as took a trip down to Petra The shuttle bus is amazing but the walk into town not suitable for those with mobility issues (just get a taxi) The hotel is quite hilly so it would be advisable to ask for a room at the top if anyone has mobility issues In conclusion, this is an amazing hotel and great value for money. Views are stunning and staff super friendly, it is highly suitable for families or couples. …
We had the most amazing week here, so relaxing, food was amazing, staff were brilliant, room was lovely and cleaned every day. Free bus into the beautiful town of Molyvos, the only place I have been wanted to go back to. Cannot recommend enough. On my partners birthday they brought us some huge cocktails for free, they had seen in his passport it was his birthday. Little touches like this really make it a special place.
