Do Parque apartments are supebly located in Olhos, close to the facilities yet quiet at night and the most AMAZING views over the sea that you could ask for...you could hear the waves lapping on the nearby beach at night. I'd requested top floor and we were lucky enough to get a huge 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom top floor apartment overlooking both pools and the coast from 2 balconies. The apartments are massive and clean, with newish settees. Some other furniture is a bit dated, however this wasn't a problem as the proportions and cleanliness were great. Beds fairly comfy (pillows could be better), loads of storage, and kitchen fine for making snacks.
2 ensuites in our apartment and my daughters full size bathroom was accessed through the wardrobe which she found amusing...like Narnia!
2 clean pool areas with plenty of loungers and parasols, the quieter one suited us with no young children. Lovely pool snack bar offering reasonably priced drinks and food. All the staff were really polite and helpful.
We had a great time chilling in Olhos and also days exploring local resorts.
Do parque is an amazing find and we will definitely be back!
The pools are great with a large pool & baby pool on the upper level and another large pool on the lower level. The pool bar is great and Leni is an asset to the place. She really looked after us 100% and we enjoyed chatting to her.
There are steps to the beach just at the end of the road and a beautiful viewing area for nice photographs of Olhos.
Within walking distance to Praia De Olhos & Praia Maria Luisa, restaurants, supermarkets & bars.
The area is quiet with ample car parking. The swimming pool and grounds were well maintained.
The apartment was as clean as a place in need of an uplift can be.
Dirty apartment
Self catering... no dish washing liquid or sponge, mold in fridge, smell of damp
Small soap in bathroom, for two for week nothing else (like shampoo)
Flat needs massive repair/new furniture...because the way it looks, seems that nothing had been done since 1960
We love olhos cos its on the outskirts of busy Albufeira 5 min in taxi so you can pop in.
This resort is quoeter by far but at the same time has enough to keep you occupied with the likes of bars and lovely restaurants, its a more traditional area.
The beaches are lovely there is a selection of coves and bays but also the longer stretches of beach Falasia and maria Luisa are our favourites.
Olhos means eyes and Aqua means water .. the cliffs have 2 holes in them and when the tide comes in it pushes the water through the holes in the cliffs .(the holes being the eyes) and and the locals say the cliffs are crying hence olhos do Aqua -Eyes of water..
We usually travel with a travel agent but did it alone this time. Easy jet from East Mids and then yellowfish transfers . com from the Airport , these guys were good actually an yet it was the part i was more worried about i was worried they would not see us , but actually they were dead visible there was a sea of yellow polo shirts and 2 signs with big yellow fishes on you couldnt miss them. Same with the car it was lovely a big smiley fish on the side . lovely logo. And the driver was friendly and gave us a little gift.
Try nelsons bar /restaurant , Ambrosia Nectar and fratellis Italian.
La cigale on the beach looks ans is gorgeous but you really do pay for the location.
Hope my review helps...
We stayed in May 1/2 term and was really quiet in the resort although the weather was perfect, low to mid 20s and loads of sun.
Apartment complex had reception with library and internet access, room for bags and toilets if your early arrival/ late departure. 2 decent sized pools, which were a little cold, but my children loved swimming in them, along with a small 'baby pool'. Pool bar open 9am to 9pm, selling usual soft and alcoholic drinks and basic snacks.
We went B&B, Breakfast included: croissants, fresh bread, scrambled eggs, cereal, ham, cheese, jams etc. (hotdogs one day) lovely freshly squeezed juice and excellent coffee (though only 1 cup sadly).
Location was fabulous, up on cliff away from any noise of restaurants - though Olhos d'agua is not a noisy sort of place. Just a short stroll down the steps led straight to the sandy beach with fascinating rock pools for the children (just be careful of tides, they creep up fast and you can get cut off easily).
Resort is quiet, best for families that want a beach and someone quiet to eat, definitely not for clubbers - go to Albufeira for that. Quiet a lot of cafes and restaurants, lovely local food, and no pressure to come in and partake.
"We had separate beds so be prepared for that. Bring condiments and coffee, tea etc. Lot of walking on cobblestone sidewalks so be prepared."Read full review

"We were above the rooms that had a yard where families stay. The noise level can be an issue. Suggest higher room floor if available ."Read full review
