To give this hotel a very poor rating was easy, Air conditioners not working, Generator was turned off at night every night of my 5 night stay despite regularly asking for it to stay on. My room lock had a problem so maintenance came to fix it, Told me it is working now. When I checked it it couldn't be locked. I reported other faults in the morning before leaving for work only to return in the afternoon and nothing had been done. The buffet food was cold and staff offered to microwave my plate after serving myself. How long had this food been cold for??? The bar couldn't keep beer cold enough so I had to keep changing brands so to get a cold beer. All in all it was a very bad experience. I checked out and moved to a smaller/better hotel nearby.
Don't stay here. Plug sockets not working AC not working. Was told it was fixed and it wasn't. Doors don't lock. Generator is turned off at night. All the staff tell lies. WORST HOTEL IN NIGERIA. Good luck
The front desk people seemed the best part of our stay. The hotel also seems to have a good level of security and is located along established bus routes. However, the rooms were not very clean. Same with the bed sheets, duvet and its cover and the towels. A lot of the furniture was dilapidated and chipped. We had to complain about some items that were not working and it took a long time for us to get a response. We only had the buffet breakfast so can't say much about the food. The buffet lacked variety, the hot water jug was leaking, the meat was very hard and pieces of chicken were minuscule and bony. Feel that with a greater eye for detail and good service, the hotel has potential to be better.
Good afternoon Sir/Madam. I was a recent guest at your hotel in Festac town Lagos. I stayed their for almost a week and checked out on Sunday November 27th. My stay at the hotel was not so pleasant and I want to share my experience hoping that you will fix the problems. (1) HOUSE KEEPING: They are very lousy. On several occassions when I requested for the fridge in room 108 to be replaced because it was not working, it took almost 2hrs to be done after I came to front desk to complain. The same delay happened several times when I made other requests. (2) RESTAURANT: There was a time I ordered 2 bottles of beer to be brought to my room. After waiting for 50 minutes, the beer was not delivered. I had to come to front desk to complain. Several times when I ate at the restaurant, different staffs were opening the dish at almost the same time interval to check if it needs refill. Staffs standing behind guests when they are taking food is very annoying. Guests should not use the same plate to take food if they choose to go for another round to avoid contamination. (3) BUSINESS OFFICE: The day I used the internet, I gave a staff Naira 500, and she refused to give me my change till I complained at the front desk. (4) ELECTRICITY: On Saturday November 26th, there was power outage when I arrived to check in. I later checked in about 1am on Sunday Nov 27th. I was charged for a full day pay with no concession due to the inconveniences caused by the power outage. I stayed till 7pm on Sunday thereby paying extra for half day. It took the intervention of deputy manager to approve the 7pm checkout because the front desk staff insisted that I have to leave by 6pm. (5) There are coackroaches in the rooms. (6) Customer service is very poor. (7) The carpet at the hallway stinks.…
From the front desk they were nice and receptive. The first room that was chosen has brown water marks in the tub so we changed rooms. The second room had cockroaches at least we saw 3, the day blind for the curtain were not clean. The lift needs maintenance cos my hubby had to knock about twice for someone to get it opened. The food was the worst part of the stay very horrible. I do not recommend rockview festac until they have done a total maintenance.
Good room with air conditioning. Security is good, breakfast is good except for bread roll which is tasteless. Swimming poll and gym are available. This review would have been really good. However, the doors don't work well. Had to keep calling a member of staff to open the door each time I left the room. WiFi doesn't work too. Called 4 time for someone to help make it work but with no success. This is why I gave an average review.
I appreciate the duty manager giving us a free upgrade because we were returning customers. Customer service is great at this hotel. Buffet breakfast is provided for one person in the room rate. There should be more of a variety of food. Mostly Nigerian foods offered. The head manager took the time to personally greet us and thank us for our stay.
