Booked one night, but stayed two! What a haven of peace and tranquility. We arrived tired and in need of a cool drink and then a nice room. Within seconds we had all these things. We had arrived on cycles which were stored securely in the garage and then shown our room. Large, clean, modern and with a large private...

I returned to the Moneda hotel again two weeks ago- my third visit in three years! On this trip I visited 12 countries in 20 days - spending a total of 11 nights in different locations and different hotels. This is BY far the most fabulous hotel! SPOTLESS, beautifully furnished, in the delightful town of Castello D'empuries on the Costa...

We stayed for 6 nights and were well looked after by the two ladies who ran the place. Rooms spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble-eggs (scrambled, omelette) offered every morning. The hotel is well located for cycling (we cycled somewhere every day) along many well marked tracks to, for example, Figueres, along the river to visit...

We stayed here one night during a biking tour through Catalonia, from Figueres to Madremanya. Castello D'empuries is one of many small medieval towns, with a distinctive feature of very well marked historic sights; all with a informative, numbered, sign on the outside wall. If planning a trip through this region, this is a lovely hotel with exceptional service. Our...

The hotel room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and kind. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the coffee was especially appreciated. What else do you need in an overnight stay? Highly recommended. Having said that, it's a one horse town that takes about 20 minutes to walk all around and see everything -...

This is an excellent hotel in a renovated city palace. Our room was spacious with two king size beds; the bathroom was huge and well equiped (jacuzzi). The hotel has a very attractive interior design and everything is spotless clean and well kept. The pool area and patio are well layed out and are pleasant places to enjoy a few...

We stay at this charming hotel at the beginning of September, 2013. We had room 103 and it was just wonderful! Dolors is possibly the best hotel manager I could think of. She is extremely professional. I cannot compliment enough the great service provided at this hotel. Breakfast was superb and so much more than what we were expecting given...

We stayed here towards the end of July for 4 nights. Arrived after a long drive through the Pyrenees and was met by the owner who was very welcoming and even helped with finding a parking space. The hotel garage is fairly expensive but means you don't have to keep feeding a meter in the nearby public car parks. There...

Stayed at this hotel for 9 days at the beginning of July and thoroughly enjoyed it. Situated in the old Jewish Quarter, the oldest part of the hotel is 13th century with interesting roof arches. The hotel has been renovated to a high standard with colourful and modern decor which seems to work perfectly. The owners and staff are very...
