Let me start by saying that Rolf and Marina were excellent hosts! They were very friendly and made myself and my co-workers feel very welcomed. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. I didn't here any of the church bells an earlier reviewer mentioned. I enjoyed the food both for breakfast and dinner. If I ever make it back to...

We really enjoyed our stay Hotel De France. The hotel is under new ownership which promises to make this fine hotel into an even finer place to stay. The owner is very kind and spoke wonderful English and was kind enough to help us bring our bags to our room and make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was...

Hotel de France ensured my stay in Switzerland was pleasant and relaxing by offering a cozy room on the top floor with hot showers, firm bed, windows overlooking St. Croix and the Alps in the distance, great food with a complimentary breakfast. My room was clean and facing the east (which I recommend due to Church on the north/west side...

The Hotel de France is a fantastic place to stay in the Swiss Jura!! This area offers lots of walks and beautiful villages. The new owners, Rolf and Marina, took over on 1st October 2011 and they are extremely professional and friendly. Rolf served us an excellent dinner in the restaurant and Marina provided fresh apples from their orchard for...

Our room was very nice - we were on the top floor and from our roof window we could see the Alps when standing on tiptoes. One of the two windows was broken; not really a big problem but as a result we could not open it. Only stay here if you are a good sleeper, because the nearby church...

Stayed two nights here visiting relatives. It’s fairly basic but perfectly comfortable. Our room was under the roof and as it poured the second night, rain was drumming on the dorma windows for hours! Breakfast was OK, nothing special and we ate in the restaurant one night which was pretty good, (although for a more authentic meal we went to...

“Apologies, hit swimming pool and fitness centre by mistake and can't seem to deselect them. It has no swimming pool and the outdoors represents its fitness centre, hence the five star rating! If you want to be able to do business and pick up wifi easily from your room, then let Rolf and Marina know. Some rooms have better connectvity than others,”
