We have stayed at this lovely homely hotel on several occasions and it has to be our all time favourite. The views from the bedrooms and the dining room are breathtaking in summer as well as in winter. The rooms are warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food is excellent and well presented. There is nothing pretentious here -...

Just completed a first visit to this charming and family run hotel on advice from friends. The hotel is not "posh" but well appointed and comfortable and the Hirsig family very helpful, both for Hotel amenities, service and for walking routes. It has all the attributes of a well run and very relaxing Swiss Hotel to which we shall return....

This is a lovely little hotel in the middle of the alps. The rooms are clean and basic. The hotel is owned and run by a family, Christina, Fiona, and Peter. They are lovely. They are welcoming and willing to do what it takes to make your visit pleasant. The views from the hotel are magnificent of the mountains and...

Lunch here; mid week. Average for Switzerland that is; no major criticism or disappointment but nothing remarkable or memorable. Service professional and efficient, friendly to boot. Typical underwhelming Swiss lunch menu items - OK cold buffet starter; then some meat, cooked decently enough in a nice enough sauce, veg, some frozen some fresh, some local wine.... but you know....no panache...

Just returned from a wonderful vacation at Hotel Gletscherblick. We had the opportunity to be in the new apartment atop the hotel with a full kitchen and the most spectacular view of the Alps. The apartment is beautifully appointed and very comfortable to be in. As always the food made by Christina Hirsig (proprietor) was outstanding. My family and I...

My first visits to the Hotel Gletscherblick were as a student at the nearby Ecole D'humanité in the late sixties/early seventies. Then it was fondue and ice cream and special treatment I was after, not a place to stay. But since 1980 I've been back five times as an adult and consider the hotel my favorite in the whole wide...

We returned again with adult daughter, meeting our other family members from Texas. We once again enjoyed superb service, not to be excelled anywhere. This time several members of our group ventured to hike up to the Rosenlaui glacier, having seen (sadly) it recede over the 2 decades that we have been coming here. The conditions were perfect with mostly...

Just returned from a lovely break at the Gletscherblick Hotel in Goldern, Hasliberg; wonderful skiing, sun and definitely the best views of the Bernese Oberland. The hotel was delightful and the Hirsig family very welcoming. This is not a luxury hotel but it has all the wonderful attributes of a well run family hotel in a lovely setting. To us,...

We came to ski and travelled by train from Zurich to Brunig and then the local bus to Twing which is just near the hotel. Could not have been easier to get to by public transport and ski resort on your doorstep. It is a wonderful hotel-a really warm, friendly welcome, in English, with unsurpassable views of the mountains, great...

We were lucky to still get a room for a stay over New Year's Eve when we booked beginning of December. It was our first time in that area, and we were very happy with our choice. The hotel is small and you can feel the hospitality and warmth with that the owning family runs the business. The food was...
