We stayed only 2 nights at Hotel de Campo and wished we had more time... The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the garden is incredibly beautiful and a paradise for us birdwatchers! They have nice trails to explore without guide within their own property and its right next to the lakes, 5 min. from where the Reserve Caño...

A nice, friendly and quiet place right at the water. Wifi just at the restaurant (which offers nice and fresh fruit juices/smoothies and good food). We stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. For all the activities we recommend to get up early so to experience the sunrise on Cano Negro. We did a nice fishing trip...

Those commenting badly about the owner must have picked a Bad Day. Mauro and his staff were very friendly, Helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean, Garden well kept, Pool small but clean and very much appreciated with the hot weather. Organized a boat Tour with the Hotel at very reasonable Price. A Good Place to Stay.

Every year we travel for about 6 weeks in different parts of the world. This year we visited Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Normally we travel on a low budget with a maximum of 20 dollars a night depending on country. When planning our trip this year, we decided to stay one time at a very nice place. We chose Hotel...

I had lost my credit card by leaving it on the roof of my car, while driving away, After we had traveled half the country I found out my mistake, to my horror. I phoned the owner and he had found it. He was willing to bring the card to touristbus-station, some 40 km further down a bumpy road. Via...

There's said nothing too much about the beautiful garden, the many colourfull birds in front of the room and the unforgettable boattour on the Rio Frio. There's also the helpfull spanish speaking staff for taking care of the daily service. But many Costa Rica hotels get an extra glance by the enthousiasm of the owner. In this case the Swiss...

The rooms here are mostly small apartments/chalets and this means quite a lot of room to spread out in! Everything worked as it should and the staff were great. The pool is really more of a "cool off" rather than "Olympic lengths" size but refreshing none the less. As others seem to have noticed the food service can take a...

Beautiful cabin style rooms which were clean tidy and very safe, perfectly located on the lagoon with marshlands nearby and their own farm for a guided walk. The owner is very helpful some of his staff less so, including the bar staff and cook who could not be rushed and dinner for 15 (we had nowhere else to eat) took...

I got a bit frightened after reading the 2009 reviews. and the better reviews from 2010-2013 made me feel a bit better. The stay was very dissapointing. The owner did not greet us even though we were the only guests that night. The pool was not filtered (impossible to see the bottom of the pool), jacuzzi was dirty and empty....
