My husband and I stayed her at the beginning of January, it was lovely, relaxing and peaceful. We are not birdwatchers by any means, but the local guide and boat trips from the hotel were amazing and we saw up to 60 species and lots of animals and reptiles. Loved the experience. Room clean and spacious, pool nice and refreshing,...

Grounds and surrounding areas were full of birdlife. Nice, open air restaurant served quality food much of which comes from owners property. Bananas, lamb and pork and more raised by owner. Hyper local, love it. Owner lives on property and makes sure you have everything you need. Love that the staff put some oranges in a tree outside my room...

Hello Leo, We appreciate so much the time you take to give us a feedback, we are glad to know that you enjoyed the quality food served on the restaurant that's our goals beside we are in a remote location (jungle). A lovely little out of the way place. Well appointed rooms (although we had no power initially). Nice and quiet location AC worked ok, showers did a little, but were generally cold. A nice little bar and restaurant area although food and drink a little pricey as a pretty captive market. Small pool

My wife and I visited Hotel De Campo with great expectations which were exceeded by the Host, his tour Guide and food after long excursion on the lake. This place is a must to visit and to stay. A few recommendations: please bring wide angle binoculars, a good camera and be prepared to be amazed by the colours of the...

Hotel de Campo at the doorway to Cano Negro park is a welcoming sight after the long and bumpy road from Upala. The understated entry leads to a simple window for reception after parking on the grass parking area. And then as you meet the owners, the feeling you arrived sinks in.... so warm and welcoming, and matter of fact...

Hotel El Campo is a nice clean welcoming gem in the middle of the amazing Caño Negro Reserve. The cabins are clean and comfortable, windows screened from the mosquitoes inherent with wetlands. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the food delicious; ranging from typical (the traditional Costa Rican fare) to authentic Italian pastas, jugo naturales (juices made from local...

This a perfect wildlife lodge. The location right on the lake in a beautiful garden full of wildlife is hard to beat. It's not a fancy spa resort, but you're kind of at the end of the world. Some travelers complain about prices, that I can not confirm. The food was good and the owner made even some special on...

We wanted to take a trip to Cano Negro. After driving for a couple of hours, and only getting lost once, we found the Cano Negro. While looking we chanced upon the Hotel de Campo. If you pass it on the road it doesn't look like much. Upon entering the property you find a nice clean hotel with a lot...

Late February/early March 2015 spent 2 nights at Hotel de Campo. Location right next to the Cano Negro lagoon. There is a beautiful, thoughtfully laid out garden with a great swimming pool. The staff put out food (oranges etc) to attract the birds, and we were delighted to see so many beautiful species. Our accommodation was very good, simple but...

Stayed here for 1 night. Great hotel and food quite good as well. Excellent spot for spotting wildlife and went on a boat tour the following morning. Would definitely stay in this hotel again if coming back to Costa Rica.
