We arrived in Glaisdale drenched having left Blakey Ridge in pouring rain, which stayed with us all the way. We were greeted warmly and ushered into a large hallway to remove boots and coats away from the rain. After being shown to our room, which overlooked the railway, we went down to the conservatory to a warming hot drink and... More

We received a lovely welcome from the owners. She served us tea and toasted tea cakes- very welcome after walking 20 miles that day on the coast to coast walk. Beautiful views from breakfast room out to Beggars bridge itself. Cosy bedroom with small walk in shower room. The bedroom looks out on to a railway line. We arrived Saturday... More

Stayed here on our coast to coast walk. This B&B has a lovely setting overlooking the scenic Beggars Bridge itself and a quiet rural railway station (where we saw the steam engine running through). Pleasant accommodation and very welcoming hosts.

Lovely welcome from the elderly hosts with tea and cakes. Our tiny bedroom for two overlooking the railway station was really clean, 2nd bedroom overlooking the back garden much pleasanter would advise this room if booking. Nice conservatory for use looking directly at Beggars Bridge. The Arncliffe Arms just up the road for food.

We had an overnight stay as C2C walkers. Our room was beautiful, overlooking the famous Beggars Bridge. Bathroom well equipped. Our room had tea/coffee making facilities. Our hosts presented a beautifully presented breakfast in the conservatory, overlooking their lovely garden laden with visiting birds. Truly relaxing place to stay with lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Stayed here for a night whilst walking c2c and after a long days walk upon arrival we had tea and cake which was lovely. The room was bright and the bed very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were tired after a long 20 mile walk but this place has such a lovely welcome, comfy room and great breakfast. We did call at the Arncliffe on the way in not realising how close it is to the Beggars Bridge. I would have no problem coming back here it's delightful, we even got to watch the woodpecker feeding... More
