Set amongst the green vineyards of the peaceful Akrotiri village, only a few minutes away from the volcanic “Red” and “White” …Morebeaches, the majestic caldera and the world’s famous archaeological landmarks. Mathios Village will satisfy the needs of the most demanding visitors by offering a variety of unique styled rooms and suites, large open air swimming pool and the country yard, all tastefully decorated, creating an idyllic place to spend your holidays in Santorini in class and comfort. There is a small grocery store directly next door to the hotel. Walking in the same direction is a couple of restaurants but most importantly is that there is a bus that conveniently stops adjacent to the hotel that can take to Fira or anywhere in town it also takes you pass the museum in Akrotiri and to the beach where you can get Alcoholic drinks.

I would also agree with others that have responded. Eating around the village is a far better option. There are some lovely Tavernas nearby and also at the beach opposite, (although down a steep path, but well worth the walk). don't limit yourself to the hotel. Breakfast was a continental style buffet breakfast.
