We were booked here for 5 nights last July 2015. When we arrived there was nobody around to greet us or show us to our accommodation. After numerous phone calls (made from UK mobiles!) a lady eventually arrived. She was acting on behalf of the 'new owners'. Apparently the place had been taken over a few days before our arrival....

At the end of May we had booked for 3 nights during a 12 night visit to the Cairns area at the end of August. This was to be our 3rd visit to Clifton Palms. We didn't pay a deposit as Kerryn wouldn't accept an Australian cheque, and we agreed to pay the whole amount on arrival. In hindsight, thank...

Wow - very impressed with this accommodation. May appear basic but has everything you need; full AC, fully equipped BBQ area including pool, fridge, sink, tools - on-site washing facilities and outdoor seating areas. More importantly - the customer device is welcoming and second to none, we left a note whilst out on a day trip to ask if they...

My mother and I stayed here at the beginning and end of a road trip around Far North Queensland. Having stayed at Clifton Beach previously we chose to stay again as it is a lovely quiet area. We found Clifton Palms a pleasant spot to stay, the rooms are old but are clean, comfortable and well maintained and have everything...

Long story short... in April 2013, we found ourselves in Clifton Beach at 9pm without a place to stay. We showed up at the Clifton palms, and thankfully the front desk was available and very accommodating. We even got a deal on the room as it was so late. Our room was big and clean, the bed was crisp and...

This was a nice quiet location with the right amenities for my 13-year-old daughter and I to enjoy a few days in the Cairns area. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We played in the water for about two hours and didn't see a single soul the entire afternoon. It was like having a private beach! Of course,...

The Clifton Palms is situated a couple of minutes walk from the beach and about ten minutes walk from the supermarket, which suited us fine. The estate is green and offers a laundry, an inviting pool area and free WIFI (we got the best reception around the office). The owner was very friendly and helpful and booked a daytrip for...

This single-storey, motel style hotel is in walking distance to the beach and a shopping center. We enjoyed our own bbq outside, next to the pool. There is plenty of room to park a car and sit outside. The facilities were clean and the staff was very friendly. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

We have enjoyed extended stays (7/9 nights) here in recent years as a couple or as a family. Clifton Palms is extremely well situated with a beach across the road and a convenient bus stop and Shopping village nearby. This month we stayed for 8 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. The units are comfortable and spotlessly clean as usual....

We booked to stay here for 11 nights with our 2 kids (5&3) based on other reviews on Trip Advisor. We had a great stay and our kids LOVED the pool, which although not large, with the property being so small was never crowded, in fact it almost felt like our own pool, most of the time! Rooms are clean...
