After spending a night in a rather dank and dark room in the Daintree area this apartment was a happy relief. It was bright and cheerful, plenty of space and with a really good kitchen. Everything was clean and shining. Excellent value for the money.

Honestly, we booked our room here because another option fell through, and a lot of things were full for the school holidays. I expected that it would be a decent beach motel of some sort. When we arrived, we couldn't believe our luck: the people were wonderful, the room was a lovely self-catering apartment, and the location was right next to a beautiful, quiet beach in easy reach of other, more touristy beaches that are lifeguarded during the week. We may never return to Queensland, but if we do, I'll try to make this hotel our headquarters. My family stayed at a number of hotels in Australia on this trip. All of the others were more expensive--some of them over twice as expensive--but this one was easily our favorite.

We had an awesome time at this apartment, it didn't feel like a hotel but more like a home away from home. Everything we needed was there, especially the kitchen was so well equipped that it was a pleasure to cook or barbecue. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed longer. Linda was very helpful with everything, definitely one of the best hotels/apartments I ever spend time in.

My wife and I recently stayed here for the second year in a row. Linda and staff are top shelf, the rooms are large, clean, and comfy. The property is right on the very convenient bus line, which for us is a bonus as we do not rent a car when staying in Clifton Beach. The shopping, dining and activities of Palm Cove are just a short bus ride or beach walk away. The Clifton Beach shopping mall is but a short distance away and there is a high quality restaurant, Coco Mojos, just across the street. Hard to believe that anyone would be disappointed with Clifton Sands.

Spent a week here, great accommodations- comfortable with everything we needed, even washing machine and tumble drier in largish bathroom. Lots to see and do from this location, not too far to most attractions. Great helpful and informative receptionist-Linda.

Such an amazing place to stay. Stayed for 12 nights and so relaxing and Linda so helpful, pleasant but not intrusive in any way. The gardens are simply beautiful and the beach 2 minutes walk away. The rooms are spacious and extremley comfortable. All amenties and more are provided. Highly recommend this accommodation to everyone. Hopefully we will be able to return and enjoy Clifton Sands once again.

Spent two weeks here at Clifton Sands and would highly recommend a stay. Not to be cliche but literally a stones throw away from the beautiful Clifton Beach, and a short scenic stroll away from Palm Cove. The complex has a very nice pool with seating and sun lounge area which is perfectly positioned to catch a full day of tanning. The surrounding tree's and plants are kept in amazing order by staff and you get a real feel of Tropical Queensland. The apartment its self was perfect, very spacious, clean and modern. Myself and my partner had a balcony facing the beach which was nice. Spent a week at Clifton Sands and thoroughly enjoyed it - would return anytime! Loved the grounds with all the plants & flowers that Linda so carefully tends. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, and the beach is visible & audible at all times - just a short walk away. Linda was extremely welcoming and friendly at all times, and recommended and helped us book a number of tours in the area and made suggestions - all good - regarding different places to visit. We were glad to have her as a local expert! We enjoyed playing with her dogs and comparing world travel notes. Supermarkets and restaurants are all within easy reach. Even enjoyed the eerie screeching bush curlews!

We stayed here for 3 weeks in May 2014 while looking for long term accommodation and Linda made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She has such a great set up and everything is very clean. So when we needed another 10 day stay we went straight to Clifton Sands and had a second wonderful experience. In addition to her accommodation being clean inside and out and her kind hospitality, she books outings for travellers, supports locally owned businesses and has a great knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Ask her about the Sun Bird nests she is working to protect across the street. Oh and there is beautiful Clifton Beach a few steps away, tennis next door and a restaurant across the road.

We stayed at the Clifton Sands for two weeks. During this time, Linda was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The apartment was clean and spacious and the grounds were always clean and quiet. The beach is just down the road and the pool onsite it clean and refreshing. I would definitely stay here again and recommend all my friends!
