A stone's throw from the gently breaking waves, Clifton Sands Holiday Apartments at Clifton Beach is the ideal choice for a relaxed holiday in a beautiful beach-side village. All apartments look over the gardens to the Coral Sea beyond. The casual, laid-back atmosphere is an ideal escape for those seeking to be away from the rush and stress of modern living. Our spacious and well appointed one bedroom apartments are an ideal base to explore all that the Tropical North has to offer. We are - without doubt - the best value accommodation on the Cairns Northern Beaches.
This place is conveniently located and minutes away from the beach and the Coles supermarket. Linda is genuinely helpful with her tips on things to do which was a big plus. Please note that it does not offer a house keeping service but it comes with everything you need. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Clifton Sands Apartments for 9 days.........If you are looking for a 5 star luxury resort then this is not for you.....If you are wanting a welcoming super relaxing holiday this definitely the place to stay. The apartment was lovely and spacious, clean and equipped with all the requirement's for a self catering holiday.... fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dryer even an out door line with pegs provided if you don't want to use the dryer. Coles supermarket plus a variation of shops is only a 15 minute walk north of Clifton Sands. The Apartment is ideally located central to Cairns a 30 minute bus or car drive. Palm Cove has plenty of eateries on the beach front... a 20 minute walk via the beach very pleasant stroll. Port Douglas is approximately 30-35…

My Wife and I stayed in the Clifton Sands Apartments on a journey around Oz and found the accommodation very welcoming & relaxing along Linda (the owner) who was extremely nice and very helpful making us feel at home and wish we had booked another week.(A very short walk to a beautiful sandy beach) Plenty car parking for residents, the local bus stop to Cairns just outside the entrance which we used often and a secluded pool to use and relax, and included an outside BBQ,,WiFi and chill out area which we used on an evening to catch up with family at home. The apartment was clean, tidy and we just feel comfortable and had all we needed for a very pleasant and relaxing holiday and hope to visit again.

I stayed here for a few nights and the appartments are good sized and contains all you could need like full kitchen and washing machine and dryer. I had a few issues with airconditions but I emediatly got a new room. I walked easily in to the town centre in Port Douglas, either along the beach or on the walking path. It takes around 30 min for me but I like walking. The town centre is cosy and has a lot of different shops, cafe's and restaurants along the beach road.

We were going to stay at these apartments in July, but things came up that meant we couldn't. Linda, the manager, had already bent over backwards to help us get the best arrangement, bedding wise, for me and my husband, both of whom have back injuries. Her patience and consideration are commendable and I am sure she must be a wonderful host. It's been disappointing that we will not get to meet her this time.

It's only been a day since arriving home & I'm already missing our home away from home. My husband, son & I enjoyed two weeks of a hassle free, fun & enjoyable holiday at Clifton Sands, our one bedroom with sofa bed, full kitchen and laundry facilities & balcony with sea views made our stay very budget friendly & comfortable. The weather was hot & humid during our stay so the pool was a very refreshing relief after a walk along the beach & the split system in our unit did an amazing job! Great bbq area with a relaxed tropical feel & an assortment of reading material, puzzles & board games to entertain, this area provided the opportunity to speak to other holiday makers & make new friends like our son did much to his delight! Linda the Manager was great, recommending, booking…

Located in an elegant neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle with a very laid-back atmosphere that is a delight to find. Nevertheless still convenient enough to get to Cairns, shops and the Palm Cove by public bus which operates frequently. Lovely Clifton beach is only a few meters away from the resort and offers the swimming net during the stinger season. Apartments are not cramped with furniture and very clean & comfortable indeed. Linda the manager is extremely professional, helpful and offered great recommendations to us. There is no wifi inside the apartments but Linda advised she is working on that. Will definitely stay here again. Finn & Halley are sadly missed by Roxy & Susan. xxx

Booked a premium apartment with "refurbished" kitchen and bathroom... I am still worried I caught something from the shower... Mound on the ceiling, peeling paint with mouldy walls, cistern required constant attention, nothing refurbished about this. The bed was hard and there was sand in it, old boxed aircon set in this cracked bedroom window, aged fittings.. No full length mirrors as shown in published photos. No aircon in living area, aged and tired furniture, doors ill fitting in kitchen, no clock, or alarm clock, room reeked of cigarette smoke, very bad reception on the tv. Cutlery and crockery filthy requiring washing before use, nothing suitable to make a salad in, not to mention the cockroaches. Reception also reeked of cigarettes. No sea view as stated, no privacy. I…

Of the four low-score reviews Clifton Sands has received, three are by females from Townsville! Do I sense a pattern here? I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your three nights stay at Clifton Sands – fortunately, you are part of an extremely small minority.

A fabulous location one street back from a lovely beach and about a seven minute stroll to the stinger net. This is a self catering unit, with one towel provided for each guest, only to be used in the apartment. So bring your washing powder and waste power washing your one towel daily, if you prefer a clean towel that is and if it is raining throw it in the dryer for use the next time. We booked a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed and were told that two people one bed. No, not what we wanted! The manager was not very helpful and a bit antsy about out request for linen for the sofa bed which of course is not a good start to one's stay.

Hi Saskia, I'm sorry you were not happy with your stay at Clifton Sands! My concern was NOT for your request for extra linen, but for the fact that it was not until your arrival that I knew you required two separate beds, therefore your apartment had not been prepared as you wished. Unfortunately, we cannot know when two people book an apartment whether they require a Queen Bed (usually/normally), Single Beds, or a Queen & Sofabed, unless the tell us specifically at the time of Booking. We provide one bath towel, one hand towel and one face cloth per Guest, together with full laundry facilities in each apartment. We are indeed self-catering, and that is how we advertise ourselves. Many Guests arrive expecting to provide their own linens and towels! Pool/Beach towels are available from the Office on request. We are a small 3.5 star hotel, and we keep our Rates as low as possible. Our Reviews suggest we are the best value for money resort on the Northern Beaches!
