If you love relaxation, comfort, simplicity, tropical beauty and cleanliness then you will love Clifton Sands Holiday Apartments. We have just had a wonderful holiday there; we had booked our holiday for four weeks but enjoyed it so much, we extended for an extra two weeks. The apartments have all you could want, very comfortable bed, full kitchen and bathroom along with a very short walk to the beach. One of my favourite times of the day was relaxing on the balcony glimpsing the sea and the colourful birds. The pool and tropical plants are great and Linda, the manager makes you feel at home and is a font of knowledge about the local area and tours. We are looking forward to returning.

We have just had a long stay at Clifton Sands in Clifton Beach. We were sorry to leave, but one must go home at some stage.😂 We loved our unit, it had everything we needed on a holiday. Our bed was very comfortable and I loved the hot showers after a swim. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening listening to the waves and watching the birds. The beach is just a block away. We swam in the beach and also in the lovely pool at our units. Linda the Manager was very friendly and helpful and was a font of knowledge about the area. Clifton Sands had everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for two nights on our way up the Qld coast route. The apartment was everything we expected: clean, comfortable, well fitted out with useful items for self catering etc. Well located. Friendly and helpful manageress. All good. Thanks for a lovely stay, albeit there was plenty of rain that week.

We stayed in a top floor apartment. The unit needs a total upgrade. The curtains and blinds were dirty, extremely old and need throwing out. The bathroom is original with the complex being built in the early 1980s. The pool although very small was nice but any more than 2 people at a time would be crowded. There are far better places to stay.

We stayed at Clifton Sands, Clifton Beach November 2011 for two nights, it is not a touristy spot, however if you want peace and quiet with only a minute to walk to Clifton Beach and reasonabily priced this is it. It is an old fashioned 3 story block of units. We had a 1 bedroom unit with a kitchen/lounge room TV, bathroom had a shower, toilet and a washing machine, all lovely and clean and private.There is a swimming pool and a BBQ area, car parking facilities. Palm Cove and Kewarra Beach are only a short walk along the board walk for restaurants and shops.

We wanted a quiet get away where we could chill after our adventurous outings during the day. Staying in Cairns didn't appeal. Clifton Sands was perfect for us! The facilities may not be the latest but they are well maintained & I (the fussy one) was happy with everything Clifton Sands provided. The internet by the pool was a pleasant way to keep in contact with the rest of the world. Monika is a treasure & went beyond the call of duty to ensure our adventures were all that we wanted them to be.
The location worked well. A pleasant stroll along the beach to Palm Cove. A bus stop nearby was another way of getting to the supermarket if you didn't want to walk. All the tourist companies we booked with picked up & dropped us off from Clifton Sands.
Thoroughly recommend Clifton Sands as a place you get more Bang for your Holiday Buck!

We stayed at Clifton Sands for a week as we were looking to buy a car in Cairnes, for a trip through the outback. We first booked three days and then Grant kindly allowed us to book extra days as we needed them. He is a minefield of information and helped save us a lot of time with his useful no nonsense advise for travelling. Both he and Monika are very friendly pleasant people who do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and homely. It is well equiped with everything you need and is suitable for long or short stays at a price that is impossible to beat. The bathroom even had washing and drying machines. The linen and towels were all of a high standard, and the pool great. The area is quiet and relaxing and yet within easy reach of amenities. It has wifi which was important to us and better still it was free!
All in all great value for money and each piece of advice and help from Grant was worth a thousand dollars ;-)

Clifton Sands is an old-fashioned three-story apartment complex in a peaceful, non-touristy part of Clifton Beach and is only a minutes walk from a beautiful tropical beach. Our one-bedroom apartment was dated but clean and comfortable. Our little patio opened onto a grassy garden area which was visited every day by brilliant green Cairns Birdwing butterflies.The pool is also dated, but still enjoyable. However, Clifton Sands stands out from other accommodation we have tried in the area by its reasonable price ($210 for 3 nights on Wotif), and by having one of the most friendly and helpful staff members we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely Monika - even when we needed to stay another unexpected night when our return flight was cancelled.

We enjoyed our three nights here. The apartment was clean and practical in its layout and facitlities. We could cook a simple meal after a day out. The kitchen was well equipped and even had cooking oil and salt; little things that you need not buy just to cook a meal. The bathroom with the washer and dryer was really a plus especially when one is in Cairns enjoying beach activities. Grant (our host) was prompt with his replies to our queries and booking. The host even had extra beach towels laid in the apartment for us to use should we need them for beach outings. How thoughtful! Monika was helpful with the information about the Great Barrier Reef Cruises. Highly recommend this place! It is great for those with kids!

Clifton Sands Apartments are half way between Palm Cove and Trinity Beach, two very touristy spots, so staying here is quieter and far more relaxing! However, it is a lovely walk north through a boardwalk to Palm Cove and a beach walk to Trinity Beach if you feel like some action! The apartments have all been "done up" by Grant, the tireless Manager and he has done a wonderful job. Not flash, but very comfortable, homely and with an easygoing atmosphere. The beach is a one minute walk away, there is a nice view through the trees to the water, and the bus stops right outside, so no need for a rental car. Clifton beach is also half way between Cairns and Port Douglas, which is a 45 minute car journey away so nice to visit and then return to the tranquility of Clifton Sands. Hi Ronald, Clifton Sands is about 20 klms from Cairns CBD, and walking distance from Palm Cove.Cairns CBD doesn't have a swimming beach and you need to travel North for nice beaches. There is a bus stop outside Clifton Sands, the bus takes you into Cairns. Enjoy your stay.
There are more places to choose from in the Clifton Beach area.
