The reviews are true: if you're looking for fancy sheets and showers, this isn't the spot for you. However, if you're looking for a most relaxing, charming, friendly, sweet space from which to watch the calm sea and soak up the serene sunrise... this is it. The pool was a haven for children from all over and my 9 year...

So glad we found this place, it is so different and very quirky yet homely, I loved it here. We stayed 3 nights at multiple locations around the island and this was my favourite place. To top it off, the owners (and their 4 dogs) and so friendly, it makes a real difference staying at a family run place rather...

If you are after high end luxury, marble floors and gold taps, this place is not for you. If you are after something a bit different, with great service at a family run hotel, it is. Bags of character and charm and a sense of fun. Yes, some things could probably do with upgrading (sheets and towels definitely and a...

I loved my three night stay here last month. We had a two bedroom suite in the garden which felt like it was in a rainforest with all the trees and plants and the only downside of that was constantly thinking it was raining with the water features trickling. At night, it could be surrounded by moths and mosquitos but...

Just WOW. So as you with most accommodation searches, you Jess to trip advisor, scan a few of the reviews, get a jist for a place to stay, and then if it takes your fancy then you go ahead and book. You check out some pictures, do a few google searches and then a few images from other travellers appear...

So glad we found this place! Very cool bohemian vibe. We stayed in the 2 bdrm villa and loved it so much we extended our stay there. We had a bit of a view of the ocean from our deck and lots of privacy. There was a kitchen but it was pretty useless as there is no cutlery or plates....

For over 20 years this Thai family runs a resort. It developped from simple huts on Lamai beach to a fine, laid back hill/ jungle resort. An small oasis capable to keep that relaxed character at walking distance from town and beach. At night nature dominates the sound and you only hear some distant noise of touristic activities elsewhere downhill....

Great view, good food, very children friendly! The kids enjoyed the pool and the toys those were near the pool. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the place ensured by the wooden menus, the small pottery statues placed everywhere and the kind stuff. Mosquitos can be a problem but you can fight them with some repellent cream ;-)
