This is a perfect little spot if you want to experience real Afrikaans farm hospitality. Sure there are no lights but the lanterns are perfect! Its all you really need, hot water, electricity to charge things and peace and quiet. Lovely place, well worth the drive from CPT. Wine is EPIC.

Had an opportunity to spend a night in Kleinboet with my wife this week. It really is away from the madding crowd. Quiet, rural and rustic, gas for cooking and 'warm' shower. Some kitchen utensils from a bygone era as well as oil lamps added to the experience. Plenty wood to braai with - we used the indoor braai as...

My husband and I decided to book 2 nights and stayed in Kleinboet. The road getting to the cottages is windy but we had no problems in a small Honda Brios. The cottage is minimalistic but everything you need is there along with a small bar fridge, the rest is gas. We LOVED the tranquility, being taken on a tour...

We attended a wedding in Belotebos and required accommodation close to the venue. We arrived at 11.00 am and promptly left at 11.05 am. There are no lights in the Kleinboet cottage, not sure about the other cottages. The bed was full of insects and the water from the taps was black, and there was no way we could shower...

Having read a great review in a magazine I was very keen to visit what sounded like a perfect weekend getaway. I was not disappointed although perhaps not quite prepared for how quiet it was. An absolutely lovely place, far away from the madding crowd, you can't really get much quieter than this. The cottage is well appointed with everything...

It was a fun journey to reach the Hermanuspietersfontein Vineyards and Cottages. The setting was extraordinary: fresh air, candles and gas lamps and unspoiled hills. This all allowed our group to soak up the scenery and enjoy the pleasure of each others company. The honesty bar composed of two cases of the estates wine made the evening more enjoyable still.

My husband and I spent a night at one of these lovely cottages. They are situated on a wine farm just outside Standord so the view is breathtaking. The cottage was well equipped for self catering and we had everything we needed for a quite break away (except milk for the morning coffee). Firewood and firelighters were supplied. There was...
