We stayed 6 nights at Elia Traditional Inn and after 6 minutes we felt at home. The location, on a hill overlooking olive groves and orange orchards, is stunning. Our room, part of the former stables, was spacious and comfortable, with traditional-style furnishings. Opening the shuttered windows and doors provided cool breezes day and night. No bugs!! Elia is the...

Booked with Inn Travel and used as a base for walking and sightseeing. Hotel is in a tranquil and secluded setting high enough up for great views all round. Well appointed rooms with extensive grounds and pool. They offer great value food from locally sourced products and there are good fresh fish restaurants a short drive away. The ambience of...

We spent ten days here. It is a traditional hotel, comfortable and characterful rather than flashy and modern. Our room was large and cool, with plenty of seating, tables and storage. The setting is beautiful, in an olive grove, with all-round views to the mountains and the sea, with balconies, terraces and attractive seating areas in sun and shade. The...

We stayed recently at Elia for a walking holiday in western Crete. It could not have been better. The location, with a terrace looking down to the coast, and only the sound of crickets at night is perfect. The grounds, the rooms all looked after with great care. The staff friendly and helpful, the food great. It is also a...

This beautifully renovated historic, old farmhouse is set in a wonderful Cretan landscape of olive trees and vines overlooking mountain ranges and the sea. The nine bedrooms are individually furnished and all have outside spaces allocated for relaxation. In addition, there is a super small pool which includes sun beds alongside it. The breakfast is extensive and focuses on locally...

We have been hoping to stay here for a few years and finally we made it and it was well worth the wait! Intimate and personal without being intrusive. Jo, Gary and the Chef and Monda(?) were all naturally friendly and exceptionally helpful. Food was excellent, wholesome, good value and well worth staying for. We will be back!

Everything and more what you can expect from a holiday. We stayed at the villa on the premises of the hotel. We had the most incredible view. Jo, Monda, Gary and Takis make you feel at home. Service with a smile, always helpful and amazing food everyday. What a team. We will go back, that is for sure. A place...

We had a great time at Elia Hotel. A small hotel with about 10 rooms in a quit setting. Nice rooms, beautiful gardens, big pool. Have a nice breakfast on the terrace with view on the Mediterranean. A good place for a mixed relax/excursion holiday.

A lovely setting & the relax style make for a perfect rest. We went for the walking and it is all you could hope for with walks from the door step & easy access to more adventurous ones. The small staff couldn't be more helpful & the chef provided dinners that really satisfied the hungry walker.
