On the plus side, the owners seemed like lovely people. And the breakfast was really good. And the place was clean. And the beds were comfortable. And it had a nice view of the cliffs. On the minus side, the bathroom was TINY. Like we could brush our teeth in the sink from either the shower on one side or...

This is a lovely house with a charming staff and beautiful grounds. The place is showing signs of wear. I suggest you avoid this guest house if you have mobility problems or if you need to stay in touch with anyone via the internet. The owners claim they have done all they can do to get a reliable connection to...

We got a great room with balcony & huge bed plus settee & desk. Very quiet. No wifi signal in this actual room did not matter on this occasion, so we did not follow it up. Other guests seemed connected in the sitting room. Superb, fresh breakfast with good choices. Charming hosts. Highly recommended. We were re-routed here because our first...

What you want when visiting the West coast of Ireland is an authentic stay. You might have been to Bunratty but now you want something a bit more 'real'. Liscannor is a little harbour with 2or 3 good pubs and a view of 3000 miles to America. Maurice will give you the history and stories and Shirely will feed you...and...

One of the best place where you can go if you want the traditional Irish hospitality. The room was wonderful, breakfast was perfect with different things, Maurice is very kind! We didn't find another B&B as carrig house.

Maurice and Shirley took us in last minute when our accommodation fell through. Maurice was there to welcome us and could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with an en suite with plenty of towels and a decent shower. When Maurice spotted us setting off down the road in the rain to our dinner booking...

I left one night of our week unplanned just for fun and we ended up traveling to Lahinch after a couple days in Doolin so that my husband could rent a board and surf. We wandered the roads north of Lahinch past the golf course and came upon Carrig House. After meeting Maurice we couldn't go anywhere else. He's a...

We were so lucky to find this gem. Maurice and Shirley are fabulous hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Room was fabulous, had everything we needed, tea/coffee/water, hair dryer, hot water bottle, great bathroom, toiletries, there was nothing we needed to ask for. They think of everything. Breakfast was an event in itself, just amazing. I mirror all the positives...
