I was the mind behind planning a trip of a holiday getaway for my organization 'Gritsa Technologies'. I was newly recruited there, just after finishing college. So my planning had to be perfect.
Choosing a comfortable place to stay was the most crucial point in the whole itinerary. Thanks to tripadvisor.com, the final settlement was made on 'Camp Exotica'. It was no mistake when we reached there and had a most enjoyable stay from 25 December 2014 to 27 December 2014. The whole ambiance of the mountains surrounding you along with tiny bit of snow that did not melt in the camp was just made to let you relax from office stress. The Hospitality of Vikramji, Sanjeevji along with others is one thing you will be impressed with. There indispensable attention for making us feel we are at home, is always displayed in there efforts. Whether its for small request of warm water or let us have a blissful lunch that tastes just like home, the camp made a great entry into the memories of my colleagues. I was praised by everyone in my office for making there holiday countable.
This credit was not possible without camp exotica in the picture.
THANK YOU CAMP EXOTICA, FOR MAKING MY TRIP PLANNING A SUCCESS.

Myself and my colleague went to this resort they have provided Tent to stay there for three days. Camp Exotica place is too good. You can feel alone no pollution, no noise etc.., Food taste was too good. These are all the plus which I can say for Camp Exotica.
Cons:
1. 15 away from the Manali city.
2. Heater is not that much good. We came to around morning 11 a.m. but they provided heater only around 4 p.m. That heater is not at all producing heat.
3. They provided only 5 woods for camp fire we asked more woods to burn but they didn't provide.
4. We expected much more variety in food but they provided only two varieties.
5. Geyser capacity inside the tent is low.

Dear sir, It was pleasure hosting your company group for 2nd time .Thank you so much for your encouraging comments and as far as cons ,we take your reviews very seriously and will make all efforts to improve on it.but I would like to clear few of your review point wise 1.Sir,camp is 12km before Manali and I think that's not far considering the rush and traffic near Manali, and camps has to be at such places..away from noise of city as you said. 2.Sir,when your group arrived at camp it was snowing and there was no electricity in whole area and we provided you warm bhukhari's in dinning area. And as soon as light came we provided heaters in each tent. The temp was -3 at that time and heaters became little effective in such cold.but they are warm as written in earlier reviews. 3.Sir,timing of bonfire is from 8PM to 9 Pm as I had written in mail also but you had asked around 10 pm..but still we had provided you with enough firewood. 4.Sir, regarding food menu, the whole thing was discussed in mails with your group coordinator Mr.Kunal..and all the food provided to your group was per my discussion with Mr.Kunal. 5.Sir,Geyser capacity in washroom is 25 ltrs and I think that is good enough and all the hotels also provide the same. Sir we make all efforts to give our 200% to make our guests comfortable and happy and assure you that we shall keep improving with your feed backs.hope to give your next stay more memorable. Regards, Vikram singh

Booked this camp from Cleartrip.com...was charged more than the rates mentioned by the owner. Went to the camp and it was nothing like the pictures shown on their website. Had a word with the owner and was guaranteed that the amount will be refunded to us in a weeks time. It's been 3 months and have got no refund. Moreover the owner doesn't even have the courtesy to reply to my emails.
The pictures are very misleading. Don't book this place until u visit there yourself.

An adventurous trip with a group of 76 students and staff is fascinating but managing right things at right time does matter the most to me and this was only possible due to the extended co-operation given to us by the MD as well as the staff which is highly appreciated. The camp does stand by its name -EXOTIC.
The beautiful tents took us out of the monotonous hotel rooms keeping us close to nature where one could see the sunrise, sunset, experience the rain/snow as well as dancing around the camp fire. The apple orchard right in front of the camp is a delight in the season.
The extended open space within the camp provided the kids to play in the evenings (which is most required). The activities conducted by the camp like river crossing, hiking, trekking in the mountains, rock climbing, rappelling, rafting, village walk and jungle walk were tremendously enjoyed by each of us.
Looking forward to have another trip with family at this camp in the next vacation.

Great place for family outing & honeymoon. Tents were cozy even in minus temperatures in midst of snow covered mountains. Homely environment with delicious food. Mr. Vikram Singh Bhandral (owner) himself looked after the comfort & service quality during the stay. All staffs were very decent with pleasing personality. Altogether a great stay at great place with great people...!!!

the tents are very comfy, complete with a heater, dth tv, bathroom with hot & cold water.
the food is homestyle & mostly delicious. you can ask the cook to make what you want to eat for dinner. breakfast is parathas and eggs, quite decent.
the camp is a small property so you find guests interacting with each other, sharing experiences, talking places over a drink at the bonfire (8.30 to 10pm). vikram bhadral & gaurav (owners) make sure that your needs are catered to.

I visited Manali with family. Booked this place for the promise of a different experience - i.e. camping.
We booked the best they offer -"Super Luxury Tent". However, the tents were anything but luxury. Having enjoyed tented holidays earlier, I know what I am saying.
These tents are somewhat like military discards.
The site is not in any orchard / woods - it is beside the busy road to Manali. The beds rattle everytime a car passes by, which is every few seconds.
The beds themselves are made of old dirty mattresses.
Food is avoidable.
The "camp" is managed by a staff of total 5 persons! So you can imagine the service.
Overall it is a cheap establishment masquerading as a camp.

Response from VikramS123, General Manager at Camp Exotica

Dear sir, Thanks for the feed back. Would like to clear few things here. 1.We always tell our guests not to look for 5 or 4 star facilities in any camp site if you ate coming to manali, but we provide most of things in tent lime double bed, attach washrooms with geysers, doors to look tent and washroom from inside.I think for a camp these facilities are enough. 2.I think you have not seen the military discarded tents and I am pretty sure you have not dine camping in hills, that's why you don't know much about tents.(I will be putting up few pics of tents on trip Advisor today kindly let me know from where they look like discarded military tents.) 3.For a camp 5 staff if enough in off season,I am sure for a couple you don't require a platoon of staff. 4.I don't know how you have written that every time a car or bus goes bed rattles, This is little absurd. Sir our main moto is Quality and service and we make every effort to keep our client happy and we are sorry if your experience with us was not good. Regards, Vikram Singh Bhandral

We haven't experienced mountain climbing (heavy snow at the time) but river is chargeable. You can thoroughly enjoy the river rafting.
