I visited here for 3 nights on my vacation in Phu Quoc. The resort was located near Ba Keo Beach (just 5 mins by walk). If you travel with family, this is good enough to enjoy a holiday with nice and comfortable room. Although I had some problem upon check in, i already enjoyed the stay here. The complimentary transportation of the resort will help your family save the budget. The management of the resort need to focus on the A/C system and the pool water.
Our family stayed in this hotel in middle of May. We had a nice room at block A and early checked in at around 11.00am because we traveled with a todler. Affordable room rate, friendly staffs and ideal location to reach the beach, restaurants and sightseeing. Generally, it is worth for your money
Anyone who respects himself. I am travelling w/ family around southeast asia, so we are used and don’t complain about small things. After Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malesia, I am shocked how people are unfriendly and rude here in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. They try to scam you or they will show straight that they don’t like foreigners. The island is filthy, beaches dirty. People living in a dumpsite. 90% of the tourists are (lower class) russians. I wasn’t aware that the island is already ruined, and developing (to worse). Homestead Gardenview is a disappoint, first when we arrived, we were welcomed by three Iguanas in a cage (so small that they couldn’t even turn around and move). At the frontdesk, the positive thing is that the receptionist spoke english (the only one). But she’s constantly sitting and playing with her phone, lacked professionalism. The room is very basic, there was warm water. Don’t the pictures on the internet/hotel/booking site fool you: The pool (a disaster), is on the other side of the main road! The TV didn’t work, but we don’t watch ianyways. Breakfast was included: Wheat noodles, rice, eggs, gummy waffles, yeterdays fruits and two different bad quality juices. Flies everywhere, again workers playing on their phones, giggling. My wife asked to clean the tables, so children can sit down, they didn’t want. More giggling. (Shocking). Here are started to understand that these people have some serious issues. (Just google: Rude vietnamese). The beach is 7 mins walk away, pretty close. We went only once, because it’s very crowdy, like 90% of the sand surface is full of sunbeds, sement blocks, cigarette tubs and trash everywhere. no idyllic, not for us. Normally i give a chance, but here I am surely not coming back.…
Location is great, there is plenty of restaurants nearby and if you rent scooter (highly recommended) you can have 5 minute drive to even more. First room we stayed in was horrible. Our bathroom window did not close and all the bugs were inside. There was construction site next to resort and they started Saturday morning at 7am and the noise was horrible. Nobody warned us about this. We went to reception and asked if it is possible to change room (they rarely speak english) and we got much better room and even it was on the street side it was not noisy at all.
The resort is reasonably priced and located south of Long beach, which means both a more limited selection of places and a lot of construction around. If the rooms are a bit further from the street it is quiet, the main street has bars that play music quite loud. Breakfast is good; noodles, corn, cereal, eggs/omelettes, waffles, fruit and so on; best to go before 8am since later it is slightly crowded. There are two pools available on both sides of the building, both tested but the kids preferred the more quiet one. Rooms are cleaned and sprayed every day so they are rather clean. Toilets work well. Staff is friendly, the only slightly odd thing is that staff had their own karaoke in the neighboring building several evenings; but it was a nice oddity. A second waffle machine could do wonders for breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would say it is value for money. …
Me and my friends had a nice memory at Homestead resort with lovely view from the room. The pool was cool, large enough and beautiful. The room was clean, full accommodation, staffs was friendly. Its also really near the beach , and free wifi ( but sometime wifi was so slow and we had to connect to another internet). Buffet breakfast also good but had not much choices.
We had a cosy bungalo in a beautiful garden :-) It was quite and peaceful all the time. People were very nice and helpful, we also could rent a motorbik on the site. Our room was very modern and spacious. We loved it!
A great find, opposite the beach with very nice, air conditioned, clean rooms. What made it for us was the staff, they were simply brilliant. We only planned to stay 2 nights but ended up spending twice that there thanks to the guys on reception managing to move a few things around for us to accommodate our extended stay. Cannot recommend enough and great value for money. We will be back! 😁
Good location, good service, friendly staff. They treat me well when i arrivel from Phu Quoc airport with nice driver and car, very near clean beach and i can find everything ATM, convenient store, bar, tour booking office
