The hotel is well located on the edge of the cliff and has its own access to the rocky beach below. Not overly helpful staff and very limited wifi as the owner says its not generally available in Germany! It is everywhere else. Restaurant acceptable but not outstanding and plenty of dead flies on the windowcills to keep you company....

The rooms were clean, small but comfy. Staff was always friendly. Breakfast was great. You can take walks on the beach and in the forest nearby. The price of the rooms vary according to the view they offer (garden or sea view).

The location was very good, which is why we booked for 6 nights to walk and cycle ( we were unable to hire them at the hotel as stated, go to Dorflund). Our room was dreadful above the kitchen noisy and smelly, stained carpets, cobwebs and holes in my bedcovers which I eventually got changed by leaving a note with...

The city of Lohme situated in the nationalpark Jasmund. Perfect for hiking or biking, bicycles to be rent at hotel. City small, cosy, quiet. Very nice hotel situated perfectly at seafront. Spacy clean rooms; quiet, no traficnoise. Restaurant big and comfortable, reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet excellent, staff attentive. Only drawback - and for us it was annoying - it is not...

We stayed for one night in the side building in a large suite with astonishing views. The side building was just a short walk from the hotel, and it had own parking lot. Did not appreciate the parking lot so much, since it was on a rather steep upward slope, but it was ok. We stayed in a corner suite,...

My wife and I first stayed in this hotel in the summer of 1999. We returned in 2013. The island of Rugen has changed (not for the better) but the hotel hasn't - and that's a good thing. It is an appealing hotel in a delightful location. An earlier review (in English) spoke of rude staff. Well, yes, a bit....

This is a relaxed, welcoming hotel in a fantastic location - the sunsets on Rugen are to die for. Very conveniently located to walk to the Konigstulle and along the beach to Saasnitz. We loved sitting on the terrace drinking beer, looking at the view. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were excellent. Service always good. We travelled to the...

I don't want to bore you with who said what and why but in terms of service this hotel has been a true disappointment. Several times we were confronted with the owner's bad mood. The quality of food is appropriate for the given price range. The ocean view is an ocean view. Apparently other guests have rather enjoyed their stay...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome: hikers, romantic, Genius SSER, nature lovers! Our Panorama Hotel "Lohme" in the northeast of the island still retains the charm of the early 1900's. 20 Years ago, the old house of Matthias Ogilvie was brought back to life. 60 Meters above reprimanding famous chalk cliffs is an oasis for those who prefer a quiet place like it is a very crowded, which do not need to fuss and bother comfort. Many appreciate our friendly atmosphere, the bright rooms and friendly service. And especially our legendary terrace! With us you can feel from January to December well - every day of the year. Next to the hotel the Jasmund National Park begins its worth protecting non-afforested Buchenwald; since 2011 he is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Rugen Wahrzei-chen, the windswept king chair, our guests are within 60 minutes. ... more   less
