Savuti adds unique personal little touches that make a guest feel special; great service. Dining is a great experience because at this small camp all guests can enjoy dinner around a common table; food and beverage great too. Early morning game drives after an even earlier breakfast work because you come back to an early lunch followed by siesta time....

Thank you Penne’ D, for your great review and kind words. We are so glad you got a chance to see our pride of wild dogs and hope they behaved well – like the unruly pups they are – giving you brilliant photos. Although the river is, for now, drier than usual, we continue to offer amazing game drive experiences...

We love staying at Savuti and in Botswana it will always remain one of our favourites. The camp tents and main area are perfectly situated on the bank of the Savuti channel so watching eles and antelope come down to drink is part of the daily view. The bush was extremely dry due to a current drought but this made...

Dear AntsOnTheRoad, Thank you for your fabulous review as well as your comment about the curtains in the room, we will make sure these are changed in time for your next visit. We are overjoyed to see you had so many wonderful sightings during your stay with us considering the drier than usual conditions we have experienced. But never fear...

Savuti Camp was our fifth of six camps that we stayed at, and it stood out as one of the best. The view from the main lodge was incredible but relaxing; the game drives were excellent and the staff, especially Kang, were engaging and friendly.

We visited for 3 nights over Thanksgiving in 2015. This camp has an excellent location on the Savuti Chanel in the Linyanti region. Highlights, the location on the channel, Quest, the camp manager, and Kang, camp food and beverage. Really enjoyed Kang's company and F&B staff is first rate. Dinner and the staff presentation was wonderful every night. Really delightful...

Where do we begin? A magical trip from start to finish. From the moment we met Tchebo our wonderful guide at the landing strip to an emotional farewell 3 days later, it was just amazing. Savuti is a tiny camp overlooking the savuti channel. There are only a few rooms so the whole place feels intimate and peaceful. The staff...

The camp's position on the bend of the Savuti river ensured that game viewing form all parts of the camp was excellent. At any time of the day one could sit and watch the animals come down to drink or bathe or merely wade across the river in front of you - perfect. The facilities and accommodation were excellent. However...

We were last at Savuti in 1984 when the channel was dry, The water (and 31 years) have brought lots of changes. We spent 3 nights at Savuti after 3 nights at its sister camp, Chitabe, in the Okavango Delta. The camps are similar-- very nice and super comfortable with great staffs and high quality service. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Standing on the raised wooden deck of Savuti, one is able to marvel at the phenomenon of nature at work. Just beneath this remote safari camp flows the enigmatic Savute Channel, until recently a dry grassland. In 2008, the waters returned and as a result game concentrations are particularly high in the dry winter season. A thatched main area and viewing deck take in the scene, while exploring the length of the Savute and its associated woodlands by boat or vehicle is a highlight here. • 7 tents (1 family) • day and night game drives • guided walks • boating • hides ... more   less
