The place is truly magical. You can spend an entire day roaming around or indulging in activities such as Skiing and Sledging (very thrilling for this who cannot Ski). The walk uphill is gentle and fun filled. Snow keeps falling off the trees creating small snow showers. Afterwards you can take a very nice walk around the frozen lake.

Take the walkway from Spitzingsattel or even from Neuhaus - its worth the effort. Once you hit the place you will find a very nice, historical place with friendly people and a gourgous view (on a good day). The food is local, traditional and very tasty. It goes well wit the local beer (or Apfelschorle - for those a bit...

Walked up all the 2.5 km through snow but clear sky. Up there you'll find easy and down to earth traditional food. Have been there in December as well incl. stay over one night. Local Beer and some nice bottles of wine which you don't expect to find there. Downhill with the sleighs is incredible fun. If you are interested...

We visited this location in the summer, although the weather was reflecting that correctly. Nevertheless, we found the car park, below the hotel easily. We were picked up by the hotel in a Land Rover and driven up the mountain. This is fun all by itself and I could do this repeatedly. For those not liking this, you can always...
