Great location on Galu beach away from the crowds on their own private beach and nice pool with a swim up bar. The food: various selection of different fruits and tasty foods to eat for breakfast, lunch and supper so you could pick and choose whatever you wanted to eat. They have various themed dinners daily so doesn't get boring. Enjoyed the beach BBQ and the Mongolian night. The hotel is decent, clean, safe, neat and tidy and there's a mosquito net in your room (you're going to need it - but it helps keep them away). Every morning the cleaning staff came to clean and left our room spotless. Full WiFi, air-con and great service when needed. I would definitely return with the whole family and recommend to anyone.
Approximately 18 months ago my wife and stayed at Pinewood under the recommendation of a new colleague and now a friend. We celebrated my wife's birthday, no big deal - the staff caught a whiff of the event and at dinner that evening there was a birthday song and dance. This year, as we are running down the clock of our time in Kenya, we headed back to Pinewood - I mentioned that we were really keen to stay with them again - this time to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, a ploy purely to play on the heartstrings of the reservation desk because this a busy time with schools being on holiday and I really wanted to stay here. We were totally taken by surprise, the staff never hinted at their plans, but at dinner we were presented with a complimentary bottle of champagne, and for…
We stayed as a family with two girls (11 & 13) after having the most amazing time on safari. We stayed in the Baobab Family Suite which exceeded our expectations. All of the staff are really friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is fantastic and is served in a different location every evening. The location is quite remote which suited us and the beach is gorgeous. We loved it here.
We stayed here for 5 nights on an all inclusive basis for the remainder of our honeymoon, and it didn’t disappoint. When we arrived reception greeted us warmly, and showed us to our suite- they had kindly decorated it with flowers and an archway for our celebrations which was simply wonderful and thoughtful! The resort is in a beautiful spot amongst some picturesque nature, and was built to avoid destroying any of the habitat of the wildlife. There are two types of monkeys that you see frequently, and other wildlife such as birds and frogs. They’ve also built a lovely pond full of Koi carp which the staff let you feed at breakfast. The food was just fantastic- they have themed nights including BBQ and Mongolian, and the staff here are great too, very engaging and friendly.…
Great resort south of the township. Great staff, very welcoming and accommodating to all your needs. Food is buffet style, must state as average, but nice and fresh. plenty of room for guest at the pool or on the beach lounges. Two separate pool and beach bars, with good selection of drinks including cocktails. Food from the beach pizza ovens (additional cost) is great with many options.
