Pinewood Village is a small boutique beach and water sport resort. It is situated on the stunning deserted shores of Galu Beach, one of the finest beaches in Kenya. It is relaxed and informal. Personalised and friendly service is at the forefront. The resort is set amidst heavy tropical flora and palms and attracts the endangered Colobus Monkey and over 100 bird species from the surrounding forest. Hotel newly refurbished jun 2006.

Another wonderful, unforgettable 8 night stay at Pinewood, our 5th visit in 7 years, and the high standards have remained for all visits. The food is superb, being buffet meals for breakfast and dinner, while a great menu selection is available at the beach pool side. The buffet breakfast is served at Bahari restaurant, lunch is available at Jahazi restaurant at the beach, plus the poolside, whilst dinner alternates between the Bahari restaurant, Poponi beach restaurant, and around the pool for Mongolian evenings, which is exceptionally good. For that pleasant pre-dinner/after dinner drinks, there is the lounge bar at the Jahazi restaurant, and the beach bar. A great variety of drinks available, from cold beers to speciality Kenya cocktails ..... Simba being one for tough

“Karibu Sana” and “Hakuna Matata” sum up a stay at the Pinewood Beach Resort. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, everything you need is taken care of in this tropical paradise of a boutique hotel with no more 40 rooms. Whilst we were staying the staff easily outnumbered the guests, the pool was super quiet and the swim up bar always manned, as was the beach bar and the hotel bar. The spa was first class The food was good and varied but stay more than a week and then it will become repetitive

Stayed here as a solo traveller late November. Was warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. Stayed in a suite which was spacious and beautiful and cleaned to a high standard every day. Food was amazing with themed evenings from Mongolian, BBQ and Swahili. Breakfast was buffet style serenaded by weaver birds and Koi Carp swimming around waiting for morsels from the fresh fruit station. The hotel is quite small and boutique style and this lends itself to being the sort of place where you get to know all the guests. I met some wonderful people with whom I hope I will keep in touch with. Reading some recent negative reviews of this place makes me wonder if they were staying in the same hotel as me! I can’t find fault at all with Pinewood and I am a seasoned traveller. Take a bow all of

We stayed here for 7 nights following a safari to Tsavo East & West and Amboseli. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again in future. We had a ground floor suite which was really nice, private and roomy and looked out into a nice garden. Food was plenty good enough for us and for the most part the chefs were enthusiastic about the food they served which was good to see. The grounds are really nice and the location on the beach was ideal for us; the beach is beautiful, especially a bit further up toward the north. In terms of the ‘problem’ with the beach boys/vendors we just don’t get it? The few there were absolutely fine and by the end of trip we got to know them, even playing beach volleyball with them making up the teams; my advice is have a

Pamela and her team are amazing!!! From attention to detail to around the clock service with a warm smile... our every desire was met with a smile always. The layout is perfect for large unruly groups of people with different agendas. Best water front piece of the beach! The all inclusive is a great deal with families of all ages and appetites. It was a seamless, fuss free and enjoyable stay. The staff is what truly makes it special. From the management under Pamela’s very efficient leadership to chefs Ben and Nancy and their teams, the bar tend extraordinaire Charo and his crew... everyone made us feel at home every single day and night. Rooms are very spacious and always tended to. Pinewood is home away from home. Thank you for the memories 🙏🏼
