Drive the roads of Namibia you also need some luck, we drove mostly off road without asfalt, one of our cars had an breakdown about half an hour before we arrived at the hotel, people fixed the car enough to get it to the hotel. And here the staff help to get in touch with the rental company,. It is... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kunene River Lodge. The campsites right at the river are spacious and and everything is clean- the pool is wonderful and we enjoyed the shade at the pool house immensely! The sundowner trip on the Kunene with Peter the owner was a high-light, we were amazed at how he handled the boat and... More

Pete does enjoy doing the sundowner boat trips and am pleased you enjoyed the trip. We are lucky to have water to keep the gardens fresh and green especially at this time of the year when everywhere is so dry. With greetings from us all Hillary More

I don't count the times I've been at Kunene River Lodge! When we used to be based in the area, we would come to relax in the green for a weekend. Now that we moved back to Windhoek, it is of course more difficult to visit. My parents came to visit Namibia, so I took them to the places I... More

We stayed a few days on Kunene River Lodge and Campsite. We had a lovely campsite direct along the river with lots of shade. The staff was very friendly, the campsite clean as well as the toilet building. Allthough it's a very remote campsite we had good wifi and they have a special place with a lot of electricity point... After a rather corrugated approach on the last kilometre we were positively surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the high quality of the campsite. I decided to return with my family. Friends from Germany were absolutely chuffed.

Thank you for your review and we were chuffed to see you and your friends. A new road is currently being constructed which will bypass the kilometre of corrigations so that will make it easier to get to KRL in future. With best wishes from us all Hillary More

Everything was o.k.! The service was not unfriendly, but you have to ask for everything. When you ask, you get everything. The rooms are ok.! So, I missed a little bit the feeling, that the people care about their guests. We booked the kanu. They dropped us somewhere at the river, and told us we will find the lodge on... More

We apologise if you did not find us attentive. We do try and look after our guests but clearly you did not experience this. Thank you for your review and kind comments. The trip to see the Angola Cave Chat is quite an expedition and we are delighted you enjoyed it so much and got some good views of the bird. My 1st ever review, and only because, in re-living my brief and wonderful time there, in googling info about Kunene and the Morgans post-trip, the 1st review that came up was very negative. Different folks travel for different reasons. If you want the pampered perfection that some '5-stars' attempt to offer, best not to go to this remote and beautifully... More

What a stunning review, thank you so much. We certainly do not claim to be a 5 star establishment and are very much a 'bush' camp with lots of greenery and water. We enjoy some wonderful bird life and are privileged to have the 'luxury' of an unlimited water supply. The Zebra mountains really are stunning, so majestic and 'untamed'... More

Amazing location for nature lovers. The lodge is clean and very cozy with a good restaurant, especially the dessert! The staff helped us a lot since we had a problem with our tyre. A stop here is strongly suggested!
