Large room with a kitchenette area, dirty dish cloths were left on the side which looked like they should have been thrown away. Tiled floor was very slippery after a shower so take care when walking around the bathroom. My husband checked his mattress at the end of our stay only to find it was stained with brown water marks...

Big room (53) with air condition. Patio. Twin beds. Nice shower and separate toilet and wash basin. Pool and treed sit around. Themed bar area, lounge and dining room. Lots of space and helpful staff. Negative is slow poor internet. Do the $100 nam trip to see the cats, 2 cheetahs and a leopard, and calacals. Also game drives possible....

The rooms are fairly basic, but they are clean and adequately equipped for a few days stay. The lodge is large, with TV, roaring log fires, well-stocked bar and free teas and coffees. The grounds are a little sparce, but are very clean. I must admit that I have been on better animal encounters, but the price of the cheetah...

This lodge is very nice where you'll feel like home. Comfy beds, great shower, air con and good breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The wifi is quite bad but this is no wonder in the middle of nowhere. No need for internet here, we enjoyed the silence and the nature, chilled at the pool with a cold beer and...

I stayed here as part of a truck tour around Africa. I found the accomodation to be clean, and of a good size, with good running hot water. The facilities for large groups are excellent as we utilised the large outside dining area with tables and a BBQ, which was fantastic. The wifi is available at the bar, but is...

Animals roaming around freely and some caged. For 100 NB you could see the leopard and chitta. The meals were fantastic and full breakfasts. The rooms are in clusters and cater to groups with large dining room. The pool was dirty green though.

Well done to Hammerstein, we should have stayed here and not a Le Mirage. We will certainly spread the word about your wonderful, caring establishment. Your staff are accommodating and the service was fantastic. The prices for food and what you have to offer is outstanding. We had 5 star treatment and big hugs to Bosman.

Hammerstein Lodge caters mainly to large tour groups. I was travelling in a small group which I much prefer. However, we also had our meals in the same restaurant (of course) as the big groups and while the food was ok, it seemed to me like a feeding of the masses. The lounge area was very dark, even with the...
