Detailed Reviews
This was my second visit to this hotel. I stayed here 4 nights on a ski break and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was excellent value for money and I was very well looked after by Marco and Simone who demonstrated great care and attention in ensuring my stay was enjoyable and trouble free. The hotel provided discount vouchers for ski hire, ski pass and ski school which I took full advantage of.
I chose full board and glad I did. The breakfast was self service with good choices including bacon and scrambled eggs! Lunch was a choice of either the hotel restaurant or vouchers to use at the resort bar/restaurant. I chose the vouchers which were more than generous in providing your choice of either a light or over-indulgent lunch including pasta, pizza and chips with a drink. Evening meal at the hotel was 3 course with 2 options from each course and was excellent quality Italian food. I chose house wine served in your choice of carafe size which was good quality and reasonably priced.
You can get to the slopes from the hotel on foot up a short hill at the end of the car park and ski back down to the hotel at the end of the day once you find the route. I took advantage of the spa and gym facilities in the basement both of which were kept in meticulous condition.
I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Maniva Ski resort

Me and my partner booked this holiday through a Wowcher deal, this review includes some tips I wish we had known and our thoughts on the hotel.
Firstly our trip did not include transport, if you can add this into a package I would recommend doing so! We paid £178 for return! I’m not sure how people can suggest public transport as it’s at the top of a mountain close to nothing!
The room was clean, and the staff very friendly, however we were the only English in the hotel and few staff could speak English, with those that could speaking very broken, however they were as helpful as they could be!
Meal times were confusing as the menu was in Italian, we google translated the first night and then one of the waiters had a menu printed in English each night as the menu differs! The food was excellent and couldn’t not fault it!
Skiing was brilliant, the slopes as great for beginners and intermediate level however I cannot speak for advanced skiers.
We hired our equipment from the shop at Maniva and paid €37 but we had nothing to compare this on price.
The slopes were quiet on weekdays but extremely busy at the weekend.
We enjoyed our trip very much, however I honestly feel I would not return as the mountain is not huge and we saw everything we felt we wanted to.
We stayed for 4 days which we felt was just enough.

My sister and I are from Ireland and had never been skiing before. We abolsutely loved hotel locanda bonardi. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and throughout our stay there. The rooms are comfortable with a great view of the mountains. The staff are excellent and offered a great service with excellent hospitality. They made sure we were ok for everything, especially the recpetionist. The spa facilities are gorgeous and it is very relaxing there. The ski slopes are a short distance away and there is a shuttle bus that is available also.
Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. !

An excellent spot for relaxation and a bit of skiing. Great food, helpful staff and comfortable accommodation, very close to excellent ski runs especially good for children. Our ensuite room included bunk beds and an upper platform with a large double bed. Comfortable and warm.

Travelled with kids for their first ski holiday. Couldn’t have picked a better start. Location is stunning. Food delicious. Prices are incredibly good value to eat & drink! Best of all was the attention given to guests by staff at the hotel, they really show individual care to each of their guests. When there are tears at check out you know you’ve found somewhere special! Highly recommend this hotel.
Ski instructor, Luca, also great with kids and equally as welcoming and attentive (& patient!).

We stayed in hotel locanda bonardi for 5 nights and skied in maniva for 4 and a half days and had a great time . We were a party of 4 people 2 adults and 2 kids age 10 and 8 . We were very well looked after in the hotel , brought to and from maniva every day ( its a little to far to walk in ski boots and as we are beginner's we could not ski down) and carlo was a great help organising lift passes , ski hire , lunch vouchers and lessons . Food was lovely and i would recommend this hotel. Maniva is a lovely place to learn how to ski especially for the kids . We were made to feel very welcome and hope to return . We booked through activity breaks .

From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The staff especially Simon and Marco were brilliant and were available at all time to help us if needed. The ambience of the hotel was great. Rooms very comfortable, Spa area was a super bonus to our stay. The food... wow so good - different every night on our 4 night stay and very tasty. Carafes of wine went down really well too ! Would highly recommend staying here especially if you are learning to ski for first time. We travelled with our neighbours - group of 9 and everyone had a ball - adults and teenagers!

We spent a few days in Maniva, searching for silence and peace far from the city. No way could imagine to find something like this hidden little gem..
Spotless, in common areas and in the room, warm as never imagined - I mean degrees and homely feeling -, nice and new like our best visited city hotels. The staff is great, discreet but always present, as you could not actually hope from such a young group of people! They are sooo propositive, plenty of ideas for every guest, keep watching on you, making you feel one of them, offering a hot tea, or inviting for dinner at the property's table.
We really thought to get a small mountain-style little B&B... what we found is a home away from home, with stunning views on the valley, snow out of the window while sitting having cup of coffee with a delicious owner, who REALLY IS THERE for his guests, making them his special ones.
Here is my advice - whenever youre feeling sick of noise, or living stressful days you think you can't handle, give it all up, call Massimo and have a pause in Maniva.
This is what happened to me, to get rid of bad smog influence, took husband, children and dog out there ... for one of the best valued ideas

We traveled as a family for my cousin’s destination wedding at this property. The views are stunning and the drive up picturesque. The meals provided during this wedding celebration were phenomenal! There are hiking trails, a bar, spa, etc. One item that we didn’t like, was that they require you to turn in your passports upon check in and they are stored behind the check in desk in the open. All other places we stayed in Italy would make a copy of the passport and give it back but as there is not always someone at the check-in desk, we disliked this very much. The only reason we didn’t make a big deal about this is that the whole hotel was just for the wedding party...but we do think this issue should be addressed for other travelers/guests in the future. The rooms were clean and functional and WiFi was also good. Overall, a good experience but hope they welcome what we hope is constructive criticism regarding the passports.

We regularly spend some days in summer in the mountain to climb, hike and bike. This was one of the most beautiful and hidden destination we visited. Far away from chaos and less than an hour from the motorway. From here you can easily reach Garda Lake (evenby bike - 2 hours) and Idro Lake.
The hotel is charming, the service and the food is excellent. But what we really appreciated is the view on the valley, from here you can see Sirmione Peninsula!!
A very special place!
