We spent a week here in late July. I chose Eden Bungalows as I was looking for a quietish resort and a hotel within my budget that could offer me family rooms ( ie interconnecting and with twin beds for the kids rather than a double) a good pool and a restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was...

stayed here twice. Bo Phut is lovely. We had a bungalow, it was nicely decorated, good size, funky outdoor bathroom. Hotel has nice pool and serves cheap enough decent food. Would go back to this hotel no problem.

I was a lone traveler to Ko Samui and only had accommodation for the first three nights so relied on The Lonely Planet for finding hotels(look for the listing for Eden). Whilst staying in lamai I decided to spend an evening in Bophut and loved every minute of it. I enjoyed Lamai but found few single travelers and many people...

Rude, unpleasant and worst of all aggressive French owner who enjoys to argue and make a scene. We ended up forefeiting our 4000 baht deposit and going elsewhere as we did not feel safe around this man. We later discovered that he is renowned on the island for his ill nature. Accomodation itself is basic and extremely overpriced, the 'swimming...

Have arrived back after spending 4 nights at Eden Bungalows during our honeymoon. We arrived to 2 free cocktails at the bar and fresh flowers in the room. Staff are friendly, and the setting is beautiful. We had an exotic bungalow set back from the road surrounded by lush greenery. Bo Phut is one of the quieter parts of the...

Absolutely beautiful - I stayed here with my boyfriend in Feburary 2008 and couldn't fault anything - neither of us wanted to leave. The bungalows are lovely and set in tropical gardens - there's a small pool as well which was nice although we spent most of our time on the beach. When we arrived there were fresh flowers on...

Stayed at this place for a couple of nights over new year and used it as a base to get to the full moon party on Koh Phangan. We struggled to get anywhere on Phangan on the north of Samui for over New Year so when we found this place for 800 baht a night we were delighted but not...

I couldnt disagree more with Kracmunkie's review. I'm sure he must have made a mistake & stayed elsewhere as I absolutely loved Bo Phut & the Eden Bungalows. We had a deluxe bungalow which was clean, spacious & comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was fine - you should probably not holiday in Thailand if you are scared of a few mozzies...

In a nutshell: Stay here if you're French or a back-to-the-Earth hippie. Otherwise keep looking. Also: The beach directly in front of the restaurants across the way from Eden is DISGUSTING. The beach bottom is covered in mud/sludge and no one really swims in it. You have to walk down to the nicer resort area of Bo Phut to get...

Spacious, spotless rooms and baths with very comfortable beds. We stayed with our 4 kids in 2 connecting rooms overlooking the pool. In contrast to other locations on the island, Bo Phut has an uncrowded beach and is quiet at night (except New Year's Eve). The breakfast menu is extensive and includes eggs, crepes, fruit shakes. Everyone found something they...
