Staying at Eden Atenas it felt like we were in middle of a tropical forest instead of only a few minutes from Atenas. The owners have beautiful gardens throughout property. Clean and comfortable. Felt very much at home. We stayed in the apartment just steps down from pool. Large terrace with lots of living space and full kitchen overlook the...

Eden Atenas was amazing! You have best of both worlds, very laid back relaxing or go out and see some sights (waterfalls, coast, coffee plantation) sit down with Avtar and he will set up a driver to take you anywhere you want to go for the day (we were lucky to have Janny, a local, who really takes pride in...

The property is lovely with butterflies and hummingbirds everywhere. easy and cheap bus into San Jose. We had the pleasure of spending a week at Eden Atenas. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful location. We were in the little cottage overlooking the lovely grounds. The owners were very helpful. Loved the dogs. Would definitely go back again.

We were a little reticent about our first stay in a B&B but laid back hosts made us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived. Good conversation provided context for the rest of our visit to Costa Rica. Wonderful grounds, clean room with peaceful view, fantastic breakfast and accommodating hosts made this a great first stop. So glad we decided...

This was our first stop on a 10 day trip. We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! Our room was clean and cozy and the views were amazing. We kept our windows/curtains open to wake up to the beautiful sunrise and amazing sounds of the nature around us. The grounds are beautifully kept and full of...

This is a place I'll never forget. I'm so glad to have met two lovely people, Avtar and Jan. They really helped make my stay the most comfortable possible. This cabin is surrounded by beautiful trees and a huge garden filled with butterflies which make for a wonderful view and different bird types so you'll definitely be waking up to...

We wanted to spend time in nature, about an hour from Santa Ana.Atenas is a town in a rural location and Calle Mimi makes you feel you are really getting away from the town., it's gravel with a few potholes but it's only a couple of minutes to the blue gate. The hosts met us warmly and spent time. The...

Our stay there could not have been better! Had high hopes, but Jan and company exceeded expectations! Incredibly landscaped setting and scenery, clean, comfortable. Jan's breakfasts are to die for! Among the very best we've seen in Costa Rica. Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Centrally located to be near the airport and many of Costa Rica's best attractions, yet a world away from the tourist bustle, Eden Atenas is the perfect headquarters for your Costa Rican visit. Here you will be tempted to just relax by the pool, enjoy spectacular tropical gardens (the work of tropical horticulturist Jan and design enthusiast Avtar), watch Toucans or Mot Mots, and be wowed by the best breakfast in the country. Whether you are helping yourself to a mango off the tree, lounging amongst the hibiscus, bougainvillea, gardenia, and jasmine, or watching sunrise over the volcano, you will have no trouble understanding why we call this place Eden. The only complaint we ever hear, is "If I'd only known, I would have stayed longer" ... more   less
