My wife and I met and Peace Corps and together we have traveled to about 25 countries, but never as a tourists. But we decided that on our honeymoon we would let ourselves splurge. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! The owner and staff are unbelievably hospitable, and attentive!! I really appreciated the fact that they took time to get...

I had booked this hotel to help me determine if Athenas, the site of this B&B, does indeed have the best weather in Costa Rica ; important to me as I am considering retiring in CR. Reading other reviews about the beauty of this B&B and that it had availability, led me to booking here: 1) It's ABOUT THE VIEW!!!!!...

I booked this hotel using Xpedia, o got my confirmation and itinerary for my trip, but 4 days before my arrival the hotel manager sent me an email telling me that I should contact Xpedia and ask for my money back because they didn't have a room available for my trip. Do hotels normally do this? I felt disrespected and...

It is unfortunate to realize that there are people who use the diversity of communication channels that nowadays exists to vent out their lives' vexations. This without using first, those which can better and more effectively provide them direct and constructive results. To this savvy traveler whose record overflows with all two full Tripadvisor reviews, the following: Our apologies for...

We had a lovely overnight here. The view of the Central Valley is panoramic and spectacular. The night sky was incredible. Owner and manager gave us a very friendly welcome and were attentive during our stay.

We relied on B&B.com for this reservation. We were booked for six nights. We were supposed to have Vista views & internet access. The room they gave us faced the jungle, was bug infested, (ants & spiders) and had NO internet access. It was hot, dingy, worn, dirty glasses and a bed the size of a matchbook for two people...

Vista Atenas B&B has much going for it. Most of all, its situation atop a hill affords it stunning views in virtually all directions. Sitting out at the pool and just staring off into the distance, day or night, is as relaxing as it gets. One feels that they have truly gotten "away" while here. The grounds are also very...

Beautiful place on the top of a hill surrounded by nature. Very close to the airport and San Jose. Loved watching the sunrise. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.

The view is pretty breathtaking! The only downside is about the breakfast, I think it would be good to serve our typical Gallo Pinto to the guests, or add it as an option on the menu for those who are interested to try it. It's a way to show a little of Costa Rica to foreigners.

This mountain top place of peace is wonderful. It has amazing views from most rooms. This was our 2nd time staying here and our 2nd excellent experience. We have to say that this B&B is one of the best values in the area. Jonathan, the Owner, and his staff do an outstanding job! The rooms are as expected - clean,...

I spent about a week here recuperating from a long hike. This place is absolutely beautiful! The hotel itself sits near the top of a hill and overlooks several active volcanoes and, at night, what appears to be the outskirts of San Jose. There are several hiking trails nearby, including dirt roads that wind up into the mountains and have...
