We booked in the Haute Living area and had a lovely seafront room, our first impression was check-in, while we were seen straight away, and seated and offered a drink, we then waited nearly 45 minutes before someone came to show us our room, and then everything then seemed rushed, we were taken to the Haute Living lounge but not informed what we had included, as Haute gave us half board, we used the Markis restaurant the first night, we had seen reviews and were looking forward to this meal, but the restaurant had changed to a buffet service, which was relatively poor, very limited options and the food was lukewarm at best, not what we were expecting, the Hotel has opened a new section across the road, which is extremely large, the a la carte restaurant is now located in the new section but is not included in the half board, the breakfast at the Markis restaurant was very good, also a buffet but much better than the evening dinner, we did eat dinner one other night at the Markis but was just as bad, so we went to local tavernas which are excellent, overall the hotel is very good, the room was very nice, but the outside furnishings were dated and the chairs had seen better days, some had been replaced at adjacent rooms, the staff were very welcoming and really wanted to help, The new section of the hotel is very good, the pool area and spa are excellent, but this was empty has it had just opened, I feel the hotel will have a totally different feel when at full capacity, the beach will not cope, the pools will be busy, not what a 5-star hotel should feel like, while we enjoyed our 7 days, I don't think I would rush back, given the cost, how busy it will become and the very poor restaurant.

Of our 2 week trip across Greece, Corfu was our favorite because of Domes Miramare. Christiana was an absolutely above and beyond guest concierge that set a new bar for us on guest services in hospitality. She made fantastic suggestions for restaurants across town, somehow surprised us with complimentary dessert at a restaurant, and even when sick, she'd check-in with us via WhatsApp, and help us in arranging rides and reservations, as needed. The sunsets here are to die for, and their new suite rooms across the road, were just built in summer of 2022, making them absolutely impeccable to waste our hours in. The breakfast buffet provided as an upgrade with my Marriott status was also stand-out, and ranks as some of the best hotel breakfast buffets I've had in the world. Come to relax, rest, and float in the sea - it was no better way to spend our honeymoon!

It was my first time in this hotel. I was amazed by the guilty of the stuff, the food, the cleaning of the rooms and the space of the hotel. I even met some new girlfriends there that they are a part of the stuff. I warmly will recommend to my friends to pay a visit at that location! And for sure will come again next year. I had the most beautiful vacation ever!!!

As soon as you enter the beautiful reception area you can see that this place is high quality. Our room, in the haute living area was beautifully decorated. Lovely comfy bed (although the sheets didn't fit properly so you wake up laying on the mattress!). To be able to walk out of our room, have our own pool and just a few steps into the sea was AMAZING. Really unforgettable experience. Early morning sea swims looking at the beautiful mountains were a must every day! We would walk along the sea front to the haute living lounge are and help ourselves to drinks and nibbles, during the day, which were delightful. Not a huge selection of food - but just enough. We were told about our concierge - Irene, who was a really helpful, friendly and warm young lady. We were very impressed with how she works SO hard making sure all her guests are happy. She arranged a gorgeous restaurant for us, of our anniversary meal. We are very grateful indeed for her knowledge. We loved the half board option which enabled us to eat in a couple of the local restaurants in the village which were beautiful. Friendly people cooking flavoursome traditional food. The breakfast buffet offered a lovely selection. I have to say the dining chairs in the restaurant are absolutely the most uncomfortable chairs that we have ever sat on! The staff at meal times sometimes felt as if they needed more training eg. trying to clear your plate when you haven't quite finished eating etc. Overall though, they were very friendly and polite. The evening buffet was lovely - the sushi EXCELLENT and a good selection of food - regularly replenished. I was very impressed with the large vegetarian section. On two occasions we walked right along the seafront to a lovely little restaurant called Sea Breeze and had beautiful lunches with carafes of cold rose wine - heavenly! If you have sea shoes - take them! The sea is stoney and hard to walk on when you first step in. We had an entertainment sheet given to us on arrival. One evening it said there was going to be a DJ. we planned our week around this, as we enjoy a dance on holiday! We were disappointed to discover that a brass band was playing instead that evening!!!!! We didn't get bottled drinking water in our room for 3 days, despite asking for it. Overall though - beautiful place. Just needs a bit of tweaking to get the full high end experience that it advertises.

We finally made it to Domes Miramare after our original trip in 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, so were very excited to arrive. Several weeks prior to arrival, the agent (American Express travel) and I had emailed the hotel to request our 2 rooms to be adjacent as the 2 bed suite was not available for our dates. This was confirmed by the hotel that they would do their best but could not gurantee. We also explained this was now a trip to celebrate our daughter's graduation from medical school as well as our 30th wedding anniversary. After a delayed flight departure, we arrived in the evening just as the check in staff were changing shift. The welcome was friendly and a soft drink provided while payment for the stay was taken. I reiterated our request for rooms to be adjacent however, when we shown to our rooms, not only were they not adjacent, they were on different floors! We were told the hotel was full and our request could not be accomodated which left a rather sour taste. However, shortly after our bags arrived, complimentary sparkling wine and cake was delivered to our room and a slection of sweet treats to our daughter's which was a nice touch. Almost immediately, I noticed a drainy smell from the bathroom and reported this on the card left for maintenance/housekeeping. We were told at check in that the hotel's restaurants could only be booked online by scanning a bar code for any meals except breakfast. When we tried to book dinner, the app showed no availability until after 9.30pm. We turned up a bit earlier to find the restaurant was only 1/2 full! This happened every time we tried to book dinner onsite with the app showing no /limited availability yet plenty of space on arrival. Breakfast is served in their main restaurant and it is one of the best buffets we have had with a good range of hot and cold food, pastries and fruit. There is even sparkling wine if a breakfast mimosa is more your speed. Wait staff were friendly and attentive with John and Chrysanthi being particular favourites. The beach stretches across the main part of the hotel (but it's very pebbly so footwear to get in and out of the sea is essential) and although there were loungers along the length, many already had the dreaded towel draping early in the morning so free loungers were limited, especially near any shade. There appeared to be only 2 beach attendants who did their very best but it was often quicker to go to the bar to order food/drinks. Plenty of complimentary filtered water was handed out during the day (and was available in the rooms too). Before dinner on our second night, at Korypho in the newly-opened section of the hotel across the road, I reported the smell in our bathroom to reception who said a maintenance team would check on it the next day. Dinner at Korypho (which again showed very limited availability on the app but was actually EMPTY when we arrived) was excellent. The food and service were fantastic. Had there been more than 2 other tables occupied, the ambience would have been good too! Sadly, the RAW bar we'd been looking forward to is now closed (although was still on their website) so we ate dinner at other reaturants during the rest of our stay (see review for the excellent Village Taverna) We would always have a pre-dinner drink at the Blu bar and Thanos, the barman, is a master mixologist, great fun and great cocktails. Unfortunately, the drain issue was never resolved (in spite of repeatedly mentioning it) but we had a great week and didn't spend that much time in the room so it became a minor annoyance. There is a lot to recommend here; food is good, staff are friendly, there is now a small but very functional indoor gym in the new part of the hotel and the beach and sea are lovely. However, the recent expansion seems to have left the original hotel neglected. Staffing is an issue, more beach loungers/umbrellas are need and the reservations for both rooms and restaurants needs attention. Emerald Rooms need updating, especially the bathrooms and those on the far end of the hotel, near the boathouse, need the drains looked at. An earlier review has highlighted similar issues, I hope the hotel management deal with these as I would like to return.

I stayed for 2 night in July, but I wish it would have been longer and will definitely return. I’ve spent over 1500 nights I hotels over the last 15 years, and this ranks as one of the nicest, right up there with many Ritz, St. Regis, etc. everything from check-in to check-out was great. One thing to be aware of when booking: there is the original side of the hotel along the water and a new addition that just open this year across the road. The original rooms are obviously closer to the water but smaller. The new rooms on the other side (short walk) are much bigger, but both are very nice. Both sides offer pools and restaurants for breakfast. Pros - Location - The lobby and original rooms are just a few feet from the clear, turquoise water. Everything is very modern, high end. Rooms - both sides offer very nice, luxurious rooms. Amenities - Pools and spas are great. Food - the breakfast buffets were amazing. I preferred the one on the new side since it was less crowded. Lunch by the pools was very good. Staff - everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Cons - my only complaint is the gym. The website shows pictures of the old gym, which had more equipment, including a cable machine. The new gym only has dumbbells, which was very disappointing since everything else at the hotel was great. They definitely need to update their website with an accurate photo and look to invest in additional equipment. There is an “outdoor gym” too but it only consists of 2 sets of TRX bands. Overall, an amazing experience.

This review is a little late in posting but I felt the hotel required recognition. My wife and I visited this hotel mid June. Like many others this was our first trip abroad for two years so it was extra special. It was also to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We chose it due to the fact that it was adult only and offered an enhanced five star experience in the Haute Living section of the hotel. This area is completely separate from the main hotel complex and consisted of a small number of villas. We chose the Pavillion Retreat Villa with sea view and jacuzzi. On our arrival we were met by Irene the Haute Living section manager. Irene is extremely personable and it was evident from the outset that we were going to have superb service from her. She gave us her personal phone number and said to call her any time for anything at all. To our utter surprise she had also upgraded us to a Pavillion Suite with a large pool and jacuzzi. The Haute Living section also includes a private lounge , pool and terrace where you can get a selection of drinks and nibbles throughout the day and evening, all included free. We usually visited the lounge at a lunch time and for a last drink after our evening meal. I believe some people used the lounge more extensively, spending most of the day there. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with outside areas manicured to perfection. Every member of staff acknowledges you with a smile and they genuinely appear to love their job. Irene was true to her word and always answered her phone promptly and dealt with a number of queries for us. She was always visibly accessible and appeared to be there at all times of the day and evening. The food in all the restaurants was superb as was the service. Drinks were priced as you would expect in a five star hotel, however rather than visit one of the bars after your meal you could always go to the Haute Living lounge after your meal for another glass of wine or a spirit of your choice, mine being a whisky with my coffee. Also worth a visit is Dimitri boat hire a short distance along the beach just past the hotel water sports section. We hired a boat for the day and went along the coast to corfu old town then anchored near a small island where we had lunch and a swim. To our surprise Dimitri had included a couple of beers in the cool box with the water. This hotel is well worth a visit and definitely deserves it five star status.

The special thing about this hotel is the lovely location, right on the beach. In addition, the staff and the personal treatment was really excellent. I would like especially to compliment and recommend Christiana, who helped to make this trip so nice and pleasant. If you have the chance- follow her and stick to her advice ! Although the hotel does have some flaws ( dinner food was sometimes problematic, breakfast not so rich as should be expected from a 5 star hotel), the staff and location compensate for these. Overall- recommended.
