Le moulin d'Artres is an old mill in a lovely location a bit off the beaten track, so satellite navigation is a good idea. Delightful hosts, who serve excellent food, the rooms are large and there is ample parking.

I can do no more than concur with the other reviews. This hotel really is special. It is small, so the couple who run it can and do give their guests a truly personal service. Our room at the back by the river was, as others have written, enormous and beautiful, with the murmur of the river in the background....

We were given a spacious and extremely comfortable room overlooking the mill stream. The hotel was very peaceful with an attractive garden. The owners were very friendly and provided excellent food and drink and were very hospitable. Thoroughly recommended.

The village of Artres was longer than I expected but I soon spotted signs for the hotel and we were settled in to a very large and well-equipped room. The old mill is near the edge of the town so one can see the fields from some of the windows or go out and wander around the countrside. Indeed, a...

Artres is a little out of the way, but all the better for that. The Moulin sits alongside the river so the rustle of water is always soothing. Our room, number 1, was large and very well furnished. Complimentary coffee and water provided. Dinner is taken by guests on one table, a perfect dinner party. Excellent food and first class...

We arrived in the dark after driving from Waterloo in Belgium. Thank goodness for the satnav, as the village is not big and the address is not obvious. The sight of the hotel on arrival though was well worth the drive - it an old mill house covered in creeper. We were warmly welcome as we stepped through the door....

From the moment you arrive through the gates you know it's going to be special. The owner greeted us and showed us straight to our rooms, we were in the Bali suite and it was just amazing. Huge room with king bed and sitting area. Big modern bathroom and a small separate room for our children. Even through we arrived...

We stopped here on the way home from a motorcycle trip through southern Europe as a convenient last stop. The location is in a small and peacefull French rural village approx 2 hours from Calais. The rooms are clean and spacious, the hosts are welcoming. The food is outstanding... Value for money is a clear 10/10 for us.

In my 80 years, I have stayed at hundreds of hotels but never one like this. Everything is unexpected and better than you first thought. For example the impressive ivy covering the front of the old building isn't ivy at all but a vine. I didn't expect the 'all dine together at one long table with your hosts' approach of...

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting nearby Les Quesnoy in early June, with family from New Zealand. Couldn't fault anything. Michel and Fabienne were wonderful hosts and have a beautiful place here. Rooms were great, with very good bathrooms/showers and the place is wonderfully furnished. It is secluded and very quiet and peaceful. You get the feel you could...
