We stayed at bo kouga in July. We enjoyed our stay on the beautiful farm. When we arrived on a cold late afternoon we found enough chopped wood for the stove and lovely freshly baked carrot muffins to enjoy with our coffee. I will definately go back. Thank you to the owners for such a nice experience.

Enjoyed a three night stay in the Zebra Cottage no. 4. Despite the intense December heat the cottage was lovely and cool and Beverley kindly arranged a fan for us on request. The views from the stoep were sublime. This is the perfect place to escape humanity and restore the soul. The cottage was fully equipped and tastefully decorated and... More

We were welcomed by Beverly the owner and showed to the most beautiful cottage. Nestled between mountains and wild flowers. We did the hike to the waterfall and had a pleasant picnic there...wow what a nice day to relax. No noise from city live and only the farm animals to listen and entertain us. The cottages were clean and had... More

We stayed for 2 nights with friends as a weekend retreat and found it just perfect. Loved the well appointed cottages - nr 5 has a closed combustion fireplace. The kitchen had a dishwasher - treat of note that we did not expect at all.Loved the gravel road winding up the beautiful valley, loved the hike to the waterfall. Loved... More

This mountain retreat is 23km down a gravel road and approx. 30 km from Uniondale. Make sure you take enough food for your stay. We had cottage no 1 which is very cute with a lovely veranda for drinks and the braai. Beverley and Bernd are very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The walk on the farm is... More

We booked two cottages, one for ourselves and one for our three adult children 26/22/19. My husband was unaware of the remoteness before he booked the property. Two to three nights would be bliss...more was unbearable. The accommodation was good and very comfortable albeit the drive (even on a 4X4) is heavy on your back if you have an existing... More

I've spend a week at a beautiful location nestled in a valley between mountains being wakened by the hens roaming freely around my cottage and the chirping of the birds just in time to experience the most amazing sun rise while having a coffee under the pergola. My hosts, Bernd and Beverly Kasper are really great people who made me... More

The most beautiful hidden valley in the mountains this place is really special. Our cottage - cottage number 2 - was clean and comfortable. The views spectacular. We stayed two nights and walked to the dam and to the waterfall and pools. I can recommend this as a family or couple getaway. Just the drive there is already magnificent.

Four friends stayed here for the 2014 Karoo to Coast MTB challenge. The gravel road from both sides is in pretty good condition for any vehicle. Bo-Kouga is a beautiful retreat, surrounded by impressive mountains. The different cottages are spaced apart to provide privacy and not on the owners' doorstep either. Our cottage was comfortable, in pristine condition with attention... More
